Hello, I'm looking and since a few days ago I managed to have my computer mainly configured, I realized that the only thing I need to modify for it to be good is the graphics card to finally take off. To do that and so on, I know I need to change the case, since for high-end graphics cards it's the old version of the CM690 from Cooler Master, and of course... it falls short... and I'll have to look for one. So thinking, and knowing that the 1060s are still between 250e and up, to which I should add the cost of a nice case (up to the CM690). I think the following: Buy a GTX1050TI of 4GB to keep going and a case in style, and then delegate it to the Core i3, and give more life to the Mac for driver support. And when I can get a GTX1060-1070. Do you think it will be too much graphics for the Core i3 4160 (2 cores 4 threads at 3'6Ghz? I also care about the consumption, since I currently have the i7 with the Corsair TX750W and the i3 with a Tacens Mars Gaming of 600W, which I imagine I'll donate to my father and get something with a certificate that's better.

        Hello mate,

I think it handles it without any problems. The 1050 is a small thing and has a pretty decent performance, apart from minimal consumption for the greedy graphics cards that have always been mid/high performance.

It would be important to know how much RAM comes with that i3, I wouldn't go below 8Gb.

        Best regards!

Buy a 4GB GTX1050TI to get by and a case to match, and then delegate it to the Core i3, and give more life to the Mac for driver support. And when I can afford a GTX1060-1070.

If you want the GTX1050 because you'll buy it anyway for the i3, go ahead, but I think yours would be one of the new RX Vega 56 ?

Although if you want it to fit in your current case, I suppose you'll have to wait for the smaller versions.

            Hi mate,

I think it will handle it without any problems. The 1050 is a bit weak and has pretty decent performance, plus minimal power consumption for what has always been power-hungry mid/high-end graphics cards.

It would be important to know how much RAM comes with that i3, I wouldn't go below 8Gb.

            Best regards!

You're way over it @Sylver, I've been messing around with 12GB on the i3 and 24gb on the i7 ^_^

If @Fassou the issue is that it should be compatible with OSX and for now there are official drivers from Nvidia, but Ati has always been an odyssey on OSX (when it's a hackintosh). I imagine that as soon as I can I'll get it, because I had thought about the 2GB gtx 1050 but will it be worth upgrading to the TI?

Well if it has to be nVIDIA, at least take advantage of the price drop they will have when they release the new RX Vega ?
