Good morning forum members, I'm telling you about my problem, I found a PC without a disk on the street with the following configuration:

      • Mother: Abit AW9D socket 775
      • Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.40GHz
      • 2x2GB OCZ PC 6400 Single-Channel DDR2 @ 340MHz (5-5-5-15)
      • GeForce 8800GTS
      • Case LianLi V600

Seeing that it wouldn't even boot, the first thing I did was change the micro to an exactly the same one, I changed the video card that wasn't working for a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 210 and bought a hard drive. Now the computer would turn on but the screen would stay black. When I went to the RAM side, I discovered that it only accepts one module (no matter which slot I install it in, I can only put one).
My question is, could it be that the motherboard has died or is there an option I'm not seeing?
Thank you very much for your time.

PD: I was reading this post by krampak but it didn't correspond to my problem.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
It could be several things, motherboard, RAM module or power supply, so the best thing to do is to connect a speaker to help with the diagnosis.
Does it not show any error code on the scoreboard?

Thank you very much for your quick response whoololon. I can tell you that when I turn it on with the two modules, the POST indicator LED stays at 4E. Something I forgot to mention is that when it turns on with more than one module, it stays on the Abit boot screen (where you have to press TAB or DEL for the menus).
I am attaching some screens of the BIOS configuration (I should clarify that I have changed the battery and I am running the factory settings).

Well as you can see, in my case (11 years ago ?) it was the motherboard that was broken and there was no way to make it work with 2 modules. In the end I changed the motherboard and processed the RMA for the Abit.

Of course, the problem @krampak is that I found the PC in the trash so there is no RMA in my case lol
Well, I will create another post to help me set up a new PC then, since this one is quite outdated already.
Thank you both for your time, we can close the thread.
