Theme doubt on TubEdu
-
As some of you may know, a few months ago I split the video section of Hardlimit and created a site called TubEdu aimed at educational videos on any topic.
Well, today someone asked me if they can upload videos of a hobby/sport called "lock picking" which basically consists of opening locks with lock picks. This is the first time I've heard of such a thing and at first it reminded me of that thread someone posted here asking how to open a cash register with a POS...
The thing is that after doing a bit of research it seems that, indeed, it is a "sport" and there are even competitions.
To be honest, it makes me a bit uncomfortable because it's not like the information can't be used for bad purposes (in the same way that videos about almost anything else can be used for bad purposes). But I also don't want to be too narrow-minded and not allow topics that I know nothing about.
Does anyone know anything about this hobby? Is there any legal issue regarding it? Is it controversial in any way?
Thanks.

I personally browsed that little world a few years ago, it's interesting and the positive part is that it can help in a moment of need. But I totally understand that such information carries a certain risk of being used for nefarious purposes.
Considering that on the most popular video platform in the world there are countless videos on this topic, I also don't see it as likely that TubEdu would be conceived negatively by the presence on the platform of some videos like this. However, it would be good to put the proposal to a vote and/or try to get the opinion of someone expert/renowned in the field to clarify any delicate issues regarding this.
Greetings!

@Sylver You make a good point about it being pretty widespread on Youtube and not seeming to be an issue. I've given the guy the green light.
Thanks!
