Samsung is about to release firmware for the 990 Pro
-
A few days ago, someone discovered that their Samsung 990 Pro SSD was degrading very quickly. The company started investigating the problem and it seems like they are going to release a firmware that fixes the problem this month.

If I had a disk like this, I would let it die and then process the RMA. Who knows what state it will be in when you install the firmware. It seems like they made it to last just enough for the warranty to expire.

and the 980s also broke before, right? at this point, who knows how the discs are now, what a mess, a brand like that and people with the disc worn out after 4 days. There's a company that has gotten rid of all of them directly.

@defaultuser That's why they stayed with the phrase from Blade runner:
You've shone with great intensity, it's time for your end.I think they sell us speed not durability.
In all aspects...
CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD etc...
But of course, we have to have the most powerful PC possible because otherwise not even W11 "works"
