Lately, more or less interesting things appear, this idea of Corsair is not bad...
But, like everything, it has its "downsides", leaving aside the need to spend money.
It condemns us to having to use only Corsair material (of the new generation)
Basically, it consists of connecting all Corsair peripherals (fans, RL pump, etc.) in series with a single cable.

Depending on the tower, it could be interesting.
But nowadays, most towers allow you to hide the "mess" of cables and leave only the power cables of the M.B (solved with certain new generation M.B) and the GPU in sight.
      So...
I personally don't think I'll build it now or in the future.
      Regards

I think it's a very interesting concept, to be honest. It's not just a system for transmitting power to the fans, but it also seems to carry temperature data to the hub and lighting and cooling profiles (temperature/rpm curve) to the fans individually.

But as you mentioned, being a proprietary Corsair system ties you to the brand. For me, that's a big drawback, mainly because of the support they give to the software, which is where I think these kinds of inventions usually fail. And let's not even talk about Linux support.

But well, if it ends up catching on, other brands will copy it and they might end up standardizing the connectors, the electrical characteristics, and the communication protocol.

          @cobito sincerely.
I have the corsair comander and it clearly states that it is only compatible with certain corsair fans.
And we are talking about a simple hub for fans and leds ( of course the leds have to be corsair )
So I highly doubt that tomorrow we can put the fans or whatever from another brand.
Corsair comes up with the idea, the others copy it but... With " buts "
Not a universal system as such.
It remains to be seen when W11 finally releases to the rest of mortals the option to control the leds from the S.O.
When that happens, maybe the corsair system and the others that will come out can be combined.
But seeing how W11 and corsair icue measure the temperatures...
          I don't know.
          What if...
I have a lot of work to do.
But W11 marks me some acceptable GPU temperatures and the corsair icue marks me at least 10/15 degrees more.
          Regards
