With a good heatsink, those micros came out very good, my second E8400 I've scraped a few mhz more now it's at 4.140 mhz with 1.26-1.28 v and in idle it's at 38 º, and that's with my heatsink being a bit mediocre, it starts to raise FSB, without raising voltage, and do stress tests with orthos, stress prime, to see how far it goes, then it's time to touch a bit of voltage, raise voltages to the FSB of the micro... PATIENCE, but you're sure to get 3.600 mhz for sure..
PD. before your micro dies you'll surely have changed platforms, so make the most of that E8500, you'll see how you notice that extra power..
