      Hello @garfield,

This week the Gigabyte G27QC 27" LED QuadHD 165Hz is on sale at several places, and apparently they speak very well of it (if anything, they criticize its low brightness during the day), but it has the detail of being curved. I don't know if it will be a drawback, but as an alternative...

      Best regards!

It's for tinkering. You see what people are doing and you get the bug. It's been so long since I messed around with the hardware I bought, that I get these deer in the headlights. Then I get lazy, because I don't have another pc here in case I blow it up :).
I'll see how far I get by trying, like we did 20 years ago.
      Best regards

@garfield said in Nvme frentre SSD:

Finally I was able to get my hands on the kingston. Today I installed windows and the design programs. Since I haven't touched the other ssd, I'm going to see what tests I can run on it, to see if there's any improvement. All on a ryzen 2700x. I wonder if I'll have time this week.
      But the question is:
What test can I run on these drives to see real performance?
      Regards

I think the biggest difference you'll notice would be when opening programs like photoshop or similar ones, which have to access a large number of different files of moderate to large size.

If you work with content creation programs like autocad, 3dmax or similar, when opening very large files, I can't think of many applications where you have to read or write gigabytes of data in a few seconds. Maybe a 7zip to generate an uncompressed file (to avoid micro limitations) from a large directory with a large number of different files.

I also comment as an absolute ignoramus. One day, on a TV show I watch on the internet, an expert on the subject was interviewed and gave an example of how this type of currency works, which at least for me, clarified things quite a bit while also showing how irrational and "crazy" it is at its core. The example, I believe it was a real case from a few years ago, was based on a man who offered 10,000 Bitcoins to anyone who brought a pizza to his house, and someone did; there someone had already given a value to that amount of bitcoins, then as more people go on to trust the currency, it will have more value. It is really strange that a "currency" that "appears out of nowhere" can have any value, the fact is that the gold standard, as you rightly say, is no longer used, now the FIAT system works, which is basically the same thing: fictitious money.

I don't know what price you can get for the NAS and what data capacity you need, but I still find it very attractive to have a NAS separate from the PC.

I can't do a clean install because I lose the program. It's one of those that you buy, but if you format the PC you have to go through the purchase again. It's activated by key over the internet, and without a dongle. There's no way to crack it, which I would do because I've already bought it.

That surprises me, it's the first time I've seen it. If your hard drive crashes and you have to reinstall, do you have to pay for a fucking new license of the program? In most cases if you want to migrate from PC there is an uninstall key and then you can reinstall it without problems and if not, if the PC crashes and you can't use "uninstall" most companies will fix it if you tell them what happened.

Well, I think that as long as they stay above 60fps in full HD, half the planet will be more than enough. With the prices of monitors...
DX12 is still green. And like everything in this world, the first versions are for testing and to create demand.

Posiblemente todavía no estén suficientemente maduras y salgan muchas placas malas.
