I would go for an Intel Nuc with an i3, it's cheap, consumes little, takes up less space and you practically don't even have to assemble it.

what you read for a 2600k/2700k will work for a 2500k, ….they differ in frequency and HT,…so, it all depends on the quality of the chip and what you ask for

I'm glad it's already started. I remember once booting up my computer without the micro :ugly: and that happened to me, but I just didn't have it plugged in. You have to put the thermal paste carefully, maybe the heatsink already comes with it from the factory, and especially when you don't change it for a long time, be careful when removing the heatsink. More than one has fried a micro by leaving the paste so dry that it stayed stuck to the micro and when removing the heatsink, the micro started up and bent some pins. If you see that the computer doesn't even beep... well, you already know for next time ;D

The computer you built for your colleague, don't expect him to play current games on that computer, but for office work it will be very good. I have an HTPC with an Atom and it works very well. Nowadays almost any micro is very decent for office work in general. Then for using certain programs, a Quad Core, a good graphics card or more RAM would be appreciated.

Mientras las temperaturas en uso no sean preocupantes, no tienes que darle más vueltas. En IDLE esas temps que tienes son buenas, mira que en uso no pase de 50º (que ya es bastante caliente, no debería llegar) y listo. Saludos

@lolly: El avg se puede desactivar temporalmente? es que no enceuntro dicha opcion Por favor, ciñámonos al tema del hilo. Luego se mezclan temas y uno ya no sabe de que se esta hablando, cuando el titulo habla de una HD5850. No cuesta nada buscar en Google ciertas "cosillas", o bien usar el buscador del foro, y ya si se pone complicado, pues post nuevo. Saludos!!
