Problema con una tarjeta Wifi, pierde mucha señal

wenas, pues tengo en casa el 3Com wifi que ponen ahora para el adsl y queria ponerlo inalambrico, he pillado una tarjetilla wifi de marca rara y me pierde mucha señal, el router no esta a mas de 7 metros del pc y no me llega casi nada, con el portatil me llega toda la señal y con la wifi me pierde todo.
queria que me recomendarais una marca o un modelo en concreto para la tarjeta wifi, algo que tengais problado y sepais que funciona bien.
