Ethernet en un receptor de TV?

Pues eso, que me acaban de traer un receptor de tv digital, el suministrado por auna (ADB ABQ-1H4G) y trae un conector ethernet.
alguien sabe para que puede servir?
tendria alguna utilidad conectarlo a la red que tengo en casa?saludos.

Supuestamente segun tengo entendido los conectores de ethernet se pueden utilizar tu targeta de red a una television. Lo que pasa que en vez de comprar un cable de television, puedes comprar dos adaptadores de esos y por medio de un cable ethernet tienes la comunicacion.
