Problema con comparticion de internet

Hace tiempo que conecte dos pc's que teng en casa con un cable lan trenzado y tanto la comparticion de archivos como de internet iba fenomenal. La red la configure gracias al asistente del XP,los dos ordenadores tienen XP, primero ejecute el asistente en el host y despues en el cliente. Ayer dejo de funcionar la comparticion de internet pero si funciona la comparticion de archivos. He intentado volver a ejecutar el asistente pero el problema persiste. No tengo instalado en el host ningun firewall ni nada por el estilo.
Como puedo solucionar el problema???
