Configurar router como punto acceso wireless

Hola a todos.
Tengo problemas con mi targeta de red inalamrica Trendnet TEW 401-PCplus, y es que jugando on-line, cada por ejemplo 40 segundos, se colapsa y me da un lagazo. Hace poco cambiamos el router porque necesitabamos un router wireless para ONO, es decir para cable, y el otro que tenia, el US Robotics 9106, lo tengo sin usar.
Puedo configurar este router como un punto de acceso, es decir, como una targeta de red inalambrica??
