I would like to construct RAID with JMB363 controller, but not sure where to connect to, as only one internal SATA connector is controlled by this controller. Can you please help to share some light?
Please simply connect one HDD to the internal SATA_RAID (or SATA_RAID1, depending on the labeling of your motherboard), and another one at ESATA, then follow instructions in your user's manual to construct RAID.
The only way to setup a Raid on the P5B is by using the JMicron port and the external ESATA port. In other word, if you want to run RAID, you will need to use an internal drive and an external one !! Or get the Deluxe version of this board since only the JMicron controller support Raid (not the other 4 one driven by the ICH8 chipset) This is a very stupid design idea by Asus that make the Raid completely useless.
