Dudas:
Si dices que el diámetro inerior de la rosca de 3/8", alcanza un máximo de 12,5 mm de interior, ¿cómo es que para hacerla necesitas un macho de 15,25 mm? ¿Es que los racores tienen 3 mm de espesor?
Lo que ocurre es que los hilos (roscas) tienen una medida interior y exterior (de otro modo como se agarra la rosca al material?)
Evidentemente como el macho lo que hace es quitar material, el agujero que se hace para determinado hilo debe ser menor o igual que el interior del hilo, se usa broca de 15.5 (yo uso de 14mm) pero el hilo por fuera tiene 16.5mm
El interior del niple es otra cosa y se le puede dar el espesor que mas te acomode. Yo por lo general le doy 1.5 a 2 mm de pared y en eso me basta y sobra para hacer la espiga. Recuerda que esta aplicacion no es de presion asi es que debe bastar solo para sostener la manguera.
El diametro interior deberia ser el mas grande que puedas sin que de problemas en el hilo y en la espiga, y la rosca ideal es la mas cercana al agujero interior (ojo que estas medidas no son las normalizadas)
Personalmente uso racores de hilo gas 1/4 con agujero interior de 9.5, para hacer el hilo taladro a 11.25 pero el hilo pro fuera tiene 13.
La espiga por fuera tiene 13.5 y compro bronce hexagonal de 14mm para hacerlo
Si necesitara usar una espiga mas gruesa o un agujero interior mas grueso uso la siguente medida de hilo y asi susecivamente..

Entonces, si busco un diámetro interior de 12,5 mm, ¿qué rosca debo buscar para que el racor, en toda su longitud tenga el mismo diámetro interior?

recuerda que estas medidas no son normalizadas asi que no los encontraras en ninguna tienda hay que mandarlo hacer.
