The only way this will work is with a points system that rewards seeders and penalizes hit-and-runners. Otherwise, decent service will only be possible when there are symmetrical connections of tens of megabits in most homes, and there is still a lot of work to be done for that.

    @cobito:

Elf Man, I'm glad to read you again. Thanks for sharing your experience, I'll take a walk through that developer community you mentioned to see what they say.

Let's see if I can afford to stop by here more often, because since the last time I said I'd be back, a few months have passed  Nothing that a subscription by mail to remind me weekly can't fix ;D

Getting back to the Android topic... One good thing that came out of the Android licensing controversy and the "Google pack" apps (which includes everything basic to use the phone) was that communities like Cyanogenmod or AOKP (AOKP.co: About) were created, which is a "remaster" of the original AOSP (Android Open Source Project, Android Developers).

Just look at how things are that in January Cyanogenmod hired the founder of AOKP: Cyanogen hires AOKP founder Roman Birg - Android Community

I've been a bit disconnected from the Android world for a couple of months, thanks in part to the fact that the last stable Cyanogenmod update for my phone (the 10.2, based on Android 4.3.1; the 11 is already available) is working so well that I've forgotten about tinkering with it for months xD But I'm planning to try a Cyanogenmod "clean" of official Google apps, including replacing the Play Store with F-Droid (F-Droid · ).

    Cheers!

I have installed some orbmu2k gadgets to monitor the CPU that show you the CPU frequency, temperature and load of each core, as well as its temperature and OC percentage. Also the same gadget shows the RAM used at each moment. I also use one for the GPU that shows the temperature, workload and fan revolutions and voltages.
I have been using them for quite some time and they are very useful for me to see, at a quick glance, the state of the equipment.

    Best regards.

Yes, the truth is that the subject hasn't changed that much either, except in more professional environments where it is now used much more.

Here I leave you an interesting article regarding web positioning through search engines.

    Google search engine traffic

In most cases there is a controversial relationship with Google. We all get certain benefits from the Google company, since we make use of the search results of its engine. There is no margin for doubt regarding this topic. Google is a business whose goal is to generate income by offering information to the end user. The company must offer the best results and in the most effective way. Nowadays, we are changing the search towards semantics, but Google will directly offer the best results. Search engine traffic is huge, but it is not the only way to convert web traffic.

We can focus on other reliable sources to obtain traffic:

    Reference traffic from other blogs
    Social networks
Content exchange sites like Youtube, etc.

    Best regards!!

I refloat because I have my own issue with uTorrent. Also, last summer after one of the app updates, I got the following notification; "Disk overloaded", reducing the download to a minimum permanently. Searching on Google, other users had the same problem but couldn't find the solution. Lowering the number of connections, writing to disk to a minimum, leaving at least 100GB free on the disk... The only thing that worked was going back to version 1.8 or 2.2, and so I did. The disk didn't get overloaded anymore ?. Now I download at full speed, but the problem with older versions of uTorrent is that they "absorb" practically the entire internet bandwidth, no matter how much I set it in the program settings. It's like having uTorrent running and the internet disappearing on the rest of the devices.

I think that from F. Droid you can also contact the developers of the apps to make suggestions and even collaborate with them to improve the apps in a more active way than from Google Play.
In any case, and as a general rule, you have to be especially careful with alternative markets.
But since the origin of the thread is the result of having read the permissions of the apps carefully (as a good Linux user) you will not have any problems.

I still have my old VIA C7 here that has always performed great with Debian and Ubuntu Server. I was planning to use it as a Windows server to learn a bit about domains, active directory, etc... but I imagine I can do that with virtual machines on the PC. Another step would be to put that server next to the router to have the wired connection, and next to the main one also wired. All this stuff in the end is confusing me :D.

When there are doubts about suspicious activities, it is best to use a bootable CD that scans the HDD, because the Trojans of now know how to be undetectable once the system is loaded, but anyway, take a look at the temp folders of your user, to delete the remains of the installers, or try with another user.

For now, no one has asked me for anything. They have simply asked me. The thing is that I didn't know how to give a concrete answer, because I have never done this before (and they do get to do some strange things with networks, but not this).

So it's something that's more or less widespread, the thing with cafes with wifi, but it's something that I don't know how to solve.

So in principle, to keep it simple, it would be enough to have one normal wifi and another for guests.

Can you password protect the guest one? Can you make that password expire? Can you give the network a different name?

Because, to start, that would be a good approximation. What router do you use?

Then it would come to "if you spend €5 you have 50 minutes" (for example) or a download of X megabytes...

    @cobito:

I've had a quick look and it seems good.

    Did you make it?

No. I'm in a group and we share information. I uploaded them to keep them safe and not lose them. There are others that I can't post due to forum rules, but they are very good for having knowledge in computer security and java, javascript, etc.

PD: Murdok Anibal Phoneix this is the author's name. I think it's a pseudonym.

You have probably already solved the problem but in case you left it parked, after an "accident" Samsung has released the exFat source code which means that soon there will be support for partitioning tools.

Thanks for your reply. Although it's been over a year since I made it, I still had it.

Actually, it's still not entirely clear to me, but I suppose it's one of those things that you end up understanding when you apply them.

For now, C still meets all my needs, but C++ still catches my attention. Too bad I don't have the time.
