I've only had my NUC for two days and it's already vulnerable. Fortunately, no one else has access to it, although I'll have to keep an eye on my USB drive.

@Rules I have been using Linux for a long time after having used Windows for a long time. In all this time I have had several "crises of faith" with which I have not been able to avoid wondering what am I wasting my time with this? When I see how the rest of people use their computers many times I question why I can not use mine like that without complicating my life. On several occasions I have wanted to get rid of Linux and return to the comfort of Windows. But every time I see a pc with windows started I let out a yawn. What I have written has been on the fly but it is something I have been thinking about for quite some time.

Curious that production will begin in 2019. Dell has already announced its UP3218K 32" 8k for the end of March.

Installing Linux on a smartwatch has the same complication as doing it on a smartphone, which is none. Watches have ARM processors with a generous amount of RAM. As an option, it's fine, but it's not anything special that a distro for watches has appeared.

@palotes said in AMD announces FreeSync 2:

I don't really understand the issue of HDR on screens as a novelty. What advantages does it have? Isn't this something that has been around for many years in games? What's the novelty?

The novelty is what the news tells us, the elimination of the 30-40ms delay between what is seen on the screen and what the GPU has generated. FreeSync2 handles HDR in the GPU and it already comes rendered in HDR, eliminating said delay.

If it were true, it would be normal for it to stop integrating obsolete instruction sets, especially when we are talking about platforms that are far from being used to run programs that need them.

The people at LO have christened all this aspect stuff the name of Muffin. They have even done a sociological study to launch this brand. A shame that Spain is not included.

I have no hard feelings towards Intel but I can't deny that I'm not happy that they're getting hit from multiple angles.

As far as I'm concerned they can stay quiet with Flash, and if they want to do Linux a favor they should port their design programs.

Totally. That's where the real sifting is.
