Help. I think I've messed up the graph

Regarding the resolutions there is no problem since the laptop works with the TV at 1920x1080, I have tried with 2 laptops and with both I have obtained the same results.
Now I will tell you: when I turned it on last time, I saw some stripes at the bottom of the screen. (where the taskbar is) in which I put the cursor and it came out double. It intrigued me and I installed the most current drivers (in reality I reinstalled them) I restarted the computer and the screen already stayed without signal.
So tomorrow I will try to test it again but more thoroughly
by the way, I forgot to tell you that the screen is one: from the maestro series of packard bell of 21.5 inches

You're welcome.

Try going back to the previous drivers or to an older one, it may work.
Do you get the same result with that packard bell on other desktop computers?

Today after doing some tests to see if the graphics worked, I gave up since it doesn't send a video signal. So I started working on the screen, which at first seems to work and receives the signal well, so I thought nothing was wrong and I started watching a movie. But after an hour or so, the video signal goes out but the screen stays on, it stays black but lit and no "no signal" warning appears. I restarted the computer and when Ubuntu loads, it stays the same (black and lit). Any ideas about what could be wrong with the screen or the graphics (I'm already giving up on the latter :llorar:)

p.d.: I have Ubuntu on a pendrive and I'm without a disk. Just in case it helps (I don't think so, but there are always little details that make things work or fail)

I can't tell you much about ubuntu, but if you've already tried the screen on several computers and the graphics stop sending a signal (try it once more on a friend's computer just in case) there's little that can be done...
I also have a 17" screen that every so often starts showing color errors and even image errors, so I've put it on early retirement...

Hi, I'll tell you what happened, I was starting up my computer, as always when I have two different memories in a dual channel I had to restart it several times (a lot) until it started up, but this time I wanted to get into the bios and when I entered, my monitor lost signal. so I tried restarting and getting into windows and when I get into windows, the unixio user session screen stays the same. so I tried the graphics card in another pc (which also had instability problems with the same graphics card and when I start the pc the screen stays black. I restart it and it's the same so I try it again in the other one and the screen doesn't respond either. do you think it's broken? the graphics card is a gts 250 to which I put an accelero twin turbo. so the temperatures aren't the problem. what could it be?

The instability I was talking about was due to incompatibilities with the motherboard (g31m-gs rev 2). When I changed the parameter in the bios to use the graphics card instead of the integrated one, windows wouldn't load. According to what I've read, there shouldn't be any incompatibility.

I continued to test the screen with the computer they give out in schools and it's doing exactly the same thing as with the other computers. So I'll have to buy a graphics card and a new monitor.:(

As a last resort, you can try baking the graphic card for 10 minutes at 180ºC in your home oven.

I have done it 5 times with my 8800GTS and it works great. Now I have gone quite a while without doing it. The last time I left it in for 1 minute longer and with the broiler on for the last 3 minutes. xD

I've done it 5 times with my 8800GTS and it works great. I haven't done it in a while. Last time I left it in for an extra minute and used the broiler for the last 3 minutes. xD

That was an idea that hadn't crossed my mind,
can you explain how the procedure works, because I've seen some tutorial videos and they always use the same card (the 8800.)
By the way, do we have to remove the memory heatsinks and won't the components on the bottom fall off when the solder gets hot?
My last question is: this oven baking thing that I've seen is used when there are artifacts and not when there's no signal. Will it work?

P.D.: Anyway, it's the last thing I have left to try, if it goes wrong, it doesn't really matter because I've already given up on it:(

My point of view, without being an electrician and without much knowledge of electronics, is that a voltage surge from the "light" fried the screen and since it was connected to the card, it did the same to the card.
But then I thought that if the monitor works even if the screen stays black, it couldn't have been that, besides the monitor is connected to the same "thief, triple or whatever you want to call it" it could have fried something else …

I'll also explain the faults that the card and the monitor give:
Card: no signal output
Screen: receives signal since it stays black and doesn't show the no signal sign, but you can't see anything on the screen, just that it's black and when you turn it off and on you can see it but only for 1 second and then it goes back to dark.

The problem that could have also caused the graphics failure could have been the excessive use of the reset button since having two different memories in the dual channel, it couldn't start up on the first try.

if you couldn't start it up the first time you should have fixed that, restarting over and over again only serves to mess up other components that weren't broken.

Good afternoon, the brand of the graphics card, ¿gigabyte?, I say this because I have a gtx 275 and I had a similar problem, no signal.
It seems that there is a bios problem of some kind, I think, and the solution was to flash the bios.

depends on what the monitor is like (if it has a transformer, that's what would blow up in a voltage surge) but in a voltage surge the F.A would also blow up and I think that's not the case. regarding the resets, imagine an incandescent light bulb and instead of turning it on directly you take 40 or 50 seconds turning it on and off and then you leave it on :nono: you're just frying the bulb. if you have problems with the memos, delete one or buy two identical ones because if you buy new components (graphics card monitor) you'll just mess them up again
P.D regarding being a pain ….. what I want you to understand is that you have to fix the reset issue first because otherwise you won't fix anything.

Today I put the card in the oven and when I connected it it already works:D
I will take the screen to an electronics or computer store to see what they can do.

Since the computer I am using is partly my uncle's, I am buying new components (card, processor and memory) so I will hold on with 2gb of ram while I buy them.:D
