If you get a 2600K now, I think it's too much to spend to buy another micro just to have that "GEN 3" that you don't need. The isolation is similar, what changes and a lot is the cooling system of the case.
The 550 only has 1 front that brings in air and another rear that takes it out. When the 2600K starts sucking up watts and the 570 does the backing vocals, that interior is going to be hell.
The fractal, which I suggested for design and isolation, but there are others, besides the front and rear, the upper and lower ones that create a "chimney effect" that evacuates heat more effectively.
As for the USB 2.0…you have the rear ones on the board that are USB 3.0.
