New graphics card and slower PC

I would format it and by the way I would put Windows 7 on it, although it has little memory, but it should work well (I have 3Gb on the PC2 and it works very well with 7 of 64 bits)
After formatting, download either the older drivers or the newest beta, if in both cases it still doesn't work well, then try other previous betas or a less old catalyst, until you reach the most complete and current one, but I think that before reaching that, it should be solved.

Sometimes the graphics card doesn't get along with the rest of the hardware and the "negotiators" are the drivers, and like everything in life, there are good "negotiators" and others that are bad (or terrible). The thing is that some stability or compatibility problems only disappear with a particular version of the driver that manages to solve those problems.
Going back to previous or older drivers is a classic, when a graphics card doesn't work well with the latest ones or with the ones it comes with, going back to a previous driver is a routine test, which often works. And when neither the previous ones nor the current ones work, you have to try the betas. :sisi:

PD: As a curiosity, for crossfire I have the latest Catalyst beta installed available for that series, and it's the one that works best for me by far, especially for games, which is where the other drivers gave me the most trouble.

you can measure with a multimeter the voltage values that the power supply gives, but initially I can tell you that it is a ….. P.M. I personally would not put components in that PC worth more than 0 euros because any day it can blow up, and the day it blows up.....
you could run a stress test on the graphics card, but with that power supply I'm scared

I still think the problem is not with the power supply, but you should change it for another one that is a little better as soon as you can.

From what I have been able to see the 4670 requires about 26 amps on the 12v line, what you can do is look on the side of the power supply to see how many amps it gives on the 12v line, I have searched a little but I have not found those specifications anywhere.

Sostengo que los drivers son los principales sospechosos. Hay que tener en cuenta que aunque la fuente es mala con ganas, a poco que entregue el 50% de esos 500W ya es suficiente para alimentar ese equipo, que en general no es muy tragón, aparte de la gráfica que no necesita tampoco alimentación extra.

lo malo de esas cosas ,es que te das cuenta de que es muy mala cuando hace una cosa muy mala , inmolarse o hacer de kamikace con el resto de el equipo :troll: yo como todos e tenido fuentes genericas ( en la epoca de los mmx 200 cuando me monte el 939 monte una fuente en condiciones por que si por montar una F.A de 20 pavos puedo quemar un componente de 60 pues ….. como que no . con eso no quiero decir que tengas que montar una F.A de 300 pavos , pero si una de marca reconocida y cierta calidad mi F.A creo que tiene unos 6 años y sigue en el pc , e cambiado placa grafica y agregado discos y sigo con la misma F.A ¿es rentable no? invertir en componentes de calidad

yo toco madera ,de momento no e tenido problemas pero entre amigos y familiares creo que van unas 4 F.A entre genéricas y marca :facepalm: que petan, unas sin mas consecuencias y otras llevándose algo por delante.
