Now we have the data of our terminal and we will proceed to enjoy it. For the first steps to follow, I refer you to an excellent tutorial guide about Nexus 4. In my case, after acquiring the smartphone from Google in collaboration with LG, I will describe how to leave the equipment in its factory state and the steps to follow. After having consulted the different guides and tutorials, I will make a summary with screenshots for those who find it new or may have difficulty executing commands in the Windows console. So we will use a more automatic method (less manual) through software, although I will clarify the issue of drivers, also with screenshots and how to do it step by step. First, we will download the following tool:

      Download

      Cluster MPI de tres nodos formado por tres SERVIDORRES HP PROLIANT DL360P 1U 2X E5-2680V2 CPU'S, 20 cores, 40 hilos a una frecuencia base de 2,8GHz. 192 GB de memoria RAM DDR3 ECC (8 x módulos de16 GB 800Mhz)´+ 1U 2X E5.-2697 V2 a una frecuencia base de 2,8 Ghz 192 GB de Ram ECC (8 módulos de 16 Gb 800 mhz) 24 Cores 48 hilos ( 44c/88T)+ 1u 2xE5 2603v2 con una frecuencia base de 1,9ghz 64 Gb DDR3 ecc (4x módulos de 16)

        **STOP MANUFACTURING NEXUS 4
        **

        REQUIRED FILES

        Toolkit files, Nexus4

        fastboot-adb

        USB Drivers Nexus4

Once we have all the files in the same folder, we unzip and install the Toolkit tool. We haven't connected the phone yet, but we have gone to settings, phone information, and in the build number we have clicked seven times and developer options will appear, where we will click on USB debugging mode.

We already have the Stock ROM installed and without Root. Now, finally, we must close the bootloader to leave it completely as factory. As you have mentioned, every time we open or close the bootloader, the data saved in the internal storage is lost.

To make sure that the whole process of returning to the factory state, closing the bootloader, opening it, etc. That is, that fastboot and adb won't give us any problems, we will go to the directory where we have installed the tool that we downloaded to do the whole process, we will go to the directory where we have all the files installed, in my case it is the following: C:\\Program Files\\WugFresh Development\\data and we minimize. Then, in my PC, we right-click, properties, we go to advanced options and in environment variables we will add this path as seen in the screenshot

especially put a semicolon and add the path. If we open the Windows console and run fastboot, it should display all the options of the commands to execute with fastboot. Since we do it through the tool, the environment is already prepared and it will recognize the fastboot mode and we can do everything step by step as described through the screenshots.

The next step is to close the bootloader.

We have the Toolkit tool open and we will click on OEM LOCK
it will check the adb status, fastboot, and restart the terminal closing the Bootloader and as mentioned before, losing all the data from the internal storage.

        Credits:

        Bixoloko Htcmania

PD: By adding the Path where we have fastboot and adb, along with the Nexus 4 drivers in the data folder of the tool in question, we save ourselves the tedious process of installing drivers that the Toolkit guide offers. Initially, with USB debugging activated and installing the Toolkit application from scratch and then running it, it should start downloading the files that appear in the screenshots and then connecting the terminal, you could already pass without problems to flash the stock ROM and the whole process to leave it as factory without any problems.

        Best regards.!!!

I've had one for a few months now and I'm very happy with it.
I got it on the cheap at first to try it out and in the end I ended up selling the iPhone and keeping this one.

I tried one last week, which was given to a workmate and... it's amazing how little it weighs, the feel, the agility of moving and the apps run it great.

I loved it... and I have an Xperia S that I'm very happy with.

              Best regards!!

I just sent my razr xt910 to the SAT, its headphone jack stopped working. The nexus, being from LG, doesn't appeal to me much. I've messed around with some LG phones and didn't like them. In the end, I bought a ping-pong table (galaxy note 2). I was going to get an HTC one, but between the price and the battery, it's not very good, so I went for this one. Now I have to sell the motorola when I get back from the SAT.

Tecnho, I had the motorola and I got the nexus 4. It's a very good phone at the price it is

Regarding rooting on the nexus, I don't like it, everything is lost... with the motorola I didn't touch anything when I did it

Well I'm not saying no, and I hope they have fixed something like the glass that covers the camera that they said scratched easily, let's see this year if they do something with motorola a nexus would be interesting, mine has worked very well, except for that and with the work I give it the battery is not enough, samsung doesn't appeal to me either but as I needed something already for the price, battery and comments from friends who have it so I went for the big one.

With root on Nexus 4 (LG) you mean that the warranty is lost or what exactly is lost, I have it rooted and I've only had the terminal for a week. I changed it for the Note2 with the difference in money in my favor. So far I have tried four AOSP/slim roms, Paranoidandroid, Revolution, Carbon and I went back to stock. I tested the three main kernels, etc. and so far it's perfect. The only problem for users who want to have the ability to expand storage with this terminal will be just enough. There are two models, the 8GB and 16GB. In my case I don't need much storage, because I don't put videos or movies, etc. If you explain what is lost I can keep up with what I'm doing, if it's the warranty, you can always go back to factory. But if something else is lost, then I worry. You'll let me know.

I'm also thinking about getting one, I'm a bit tired of the hermeticism of the iPhone and its closed system, and the truth is that for $300 I feel like buying it right now. I would like to read a more exhaustive comparison though, Nexus 4 vs iPhone 5: battery, performance, versatility, durability, general quality...

I know there are several comparisons on YouTube, but I would give more credit to any forum member from here who dares to do a more serious review

                        Greetings!

I have a nexus 4 with paranoidandroid and contentisimo, I can have it completely to my liking.

On the iPhone, in the end, I had to have a jailbreak for anything, small screen, it restarted with the jailbreak… I don't know

Before I liked the iPhone better, because the apps were much better developed and the difference in cameras was brutal, as well as the battery and the construction. Nowadays I think they no longer have any advantage. They are very expensive...

For the same price, the HTC one seems much better to me, and if you don't need so much, the nexus 4 has an unbeatable price for what it is. I sold the iPhone, made money and now I don't regret anything. The screen gives much more of itself, it weighs little, it is thin, I have much more freedom to do things, ssh control, droidsheep, wifikill, gmail...

If I were given a choice, I would buy the nexus 4 again and forget about the iPhone 5, I would keep the money and enjoy it in something else. Now, if the nexus 4 cost 600 euros, I wouldn't buy it. I would buy the HTC one.

that is true, on all nexus, every time you unlock or lock the bootloader it resets the internal memory and therefore you lose everything you have at that moment. It's a pain, added to the fact that not having an SD card makes it much more cumbersome to make a backup.

If the n4 had a slightly better camera and microSD slot for me it would be the perfect phone.

My HTC One S does the same thing if you root it, it will restore the factory data, and to be honest, I have it locked again so I can receive official updates and I practically don't use root for anything. Maybe one of these days I'll feel like putting another rom on it, but for now I'll wait, I'm waiting for Sense 5.

Well, I just opened the nexus to remove the battery… it got stuck in such a way that it didn't respond to ANYTHING, neither the screen nor the buttons. Another point against the nexus, difficult to remove the battery if it gets stuck. On the other hand, it takes less than 10 minutes to open it, reset it and put it back together ?

Completely agree with the comments. You can't expand the storage capacity. It's armored and you have to open it with a tool that not everyone has on hand. The camera glass is another of the points that is most commented on in the forums, although in my case if I want good photos I think that better a good camera with good optics. In short, apart from the latter, a slot for a micro sd and the ability to remove the battery without tools and it would be a terminal that for 299 € (8Gb) perfectly competes with the premium range that in most cases exceed 450-600.
To whet your appetite, here is the benchmark that I did this morning showing the brute force of the cpu and the adreno that adorns the terminal. Unlike the tegra 3 chip that has integrated graphics. Of course, it's not with stock, although really each user can install the version that he likes the most, like in your pc, linux, windows, etc. Here it is:
