The MOUSE driver does not work
-
Hello, I have a Windows XP from a client that "shouldn't" be formatted because it has many programs and data... but anyway, the first thing I did was a ghost.
The problem it has is that it doesn't detect any mouse that we plug into any of the 6 USB ports it has (Pentium IV eh...), 4 rear and 2 front
What have I done?
- Enter into fault test mode, delete the driver and restore the driver to a previous version
- Reinstall Windows XP SP3 on top of the Windows that is there
- Run antivirus...
- Disable all SERVICES that are not from Windows
But even so, when trying to apply the previous driver, it gives me this error and stays as "panxo"

Have you tried using a PS2 to USB converter?

Does it detect the rest of the USB devices you connect to it?

Thanks!!!
I have tried putting a connector but I put it in the green slot (mouse) but the connector I have is the purple one (keyboard) and I plugged in the mouse and it doesn't detect it…
And if I put USBs in any hole and it detects them... I think it's something to do with the damn Windows driver but I don't know which one...
Note: I didn't put it in the first post... I also plugged in a card with 4 USB ports and there it picks up the USBs but not the mouse.
Regards

! As a last resort, you can modify the registry directly if the driver is mandatory and if reinstallation or updating doesn't work. Change the startup type within the registry using the Registry Editor.Hope that helps you.
Edit: I'm assuming the BIOS is set up correctly in that regard. How to Fix USB Device Not Recognized in Windows as another possible solution, basically it's about cycling the power (which is usually done on desktops by unplugging it and pressing the reset and power buttons for 10 seconds. Also, try running Driver Easy, it's free.

Hello, I finally solved it.
In control panel –> Mouse, I noticed that when I opened it, it didn't show me the options that come by default, but a screen from Microsoft Intelligent Point or something like that. I uninstalled that and a Genius driver and when I restarted it worked...
As simple as that.
Thanks to everyone for your time and advice.Goodbye!!!
