      Hello:

I want to switch to a new mobile phone, Chinese phones are cheaper, but I don't know about the quality. Give me some advice, please.

      Best regards.

        Hello.

Are you a bot, or a foreign human?

If you are a human, do not buy cheap Chinese, if at all Huawei.

As long as you do not go so far as to say that in another forum/a friend/family member/whatever, has recommended a great store called 'x' where they sell a product 'y' with unbeatable features at an irresistible price, there will be no problem.

I recommend only top brands: Sony, Samsung, Motorola… My own experience, they work pretty well (with the exception of the problematic Xperia Z).

They are all Chinese, from Apple to ZTE, and they all have or end up having problems. The difference is first and very important warranty, second components and third reliability.

Buying a mobile phone from China leaves you with almost no warranty, but buying a Chinese phone in Spain from a store that respects the two-year warranty is another thing.

The components logically have less quality the cheaper they are, for example you can buy a quad core so happy and it turns out to be a cheap processor that performs like a good one with two cores so it is important to see performance and usage tests.

And reliability is another point, no matter how much warranty you have if you have to repair it in 6 months it will be a nuisance so I would look for a well-known model with a few months on the market to know how it goes. This will also happen to you with phones of 600€ from HTC, Samsung, LG, etc. Although it is supposed that they take care of quality control more than any unknown brand.

Logically no one gives hard currency for a few pennies and there are very interesting phones in the 300€ range manufactured in China from less known brands like Xiaomi, Cyanogen, Huawei, Lenovo and others. Many times the problem is getting them in Europe. Even in the 200€ range there are some interesting models with some cuts in performance, but do not expect to find a decent android smart for 100€ and even less Chinese because in the low range all the problems multiply and it is preferable to go to a very well-known model that you know works well like a Motorola G for example.

My Jiayu is not bad, but one problem I have found is the compatibility with accessories. I have not found bluetooth headphones that work with my mobile. Fortunately it understands the Parrot in the car, but I had to update the firmware. Unfortunately manufacturers can not test their accessories with all the mobiles on the market, so they do it with the most popular ones.

Ah haha, the truth is that Orange is putting out a crappy mobile with their brand and they sell them to you as if it were the best thing... So I don't keep track of the junk they bottle. Xiaomi is a brand that puts the latest and most powerful in their mobiles, it has nothing to do with "white label".

the Samsung and LG are the most advisable, then Sony, Nokia, there are many that are not bad, but that is a matter of personal preference, and also depends on the price of the mobile phone, EG: the cheap Samsung ones have many faults

My partner has got the ZTE that Jazztel "gives away" and the truth is that it's pretty crappy (especially the screen and the camera), but at least now it has plenty of internal memory (4GB), not like the Galaxy Ace where nothing would fit at all. Although, having been used to the S4 for a year, I immediately find some phones to be pretty crappy...

Not even joking, Samsung fail like a carnival shotgun and LG I don't know but they had the same problem, and I'm not referring to the low range talking about the high. For reliable I would say Motorola, HTC, Sony created that has improved that before it was also a mess. Samsung lately is scaring me, I don't plan to buy ANYTHING from Samsung, I'm tired of so much crap that they sell as if it were the milk, thank goodness that their SAT works otherwise...

I personally recommend Chinese mobiles, but only the KNOWN Chinese mobiles, such as now: Xiaomi, oppo, one plus one, dogee…
The others always come up with something bad even if on the web you "read" everything perfect
My father has a dogee and it works perfectly, if you are going to buy a well-known mobile from Spain buy a Huawei I recommend them 100%
My opinion: do not buy Samsung mobiles, all of mine have turned out to be potatoes

NOTICE: Chinese mobiles are not rootable (except xiaomi oppo and one plus one [although these can be rooted to none can be installed roms except the one plus one])

Error. All phones are rootable. Another thing is to unlock the bootloader or that they have not managed to get a system to root it safely.

Let's not forget that Android, iOS... are systems based on Unix or Linux if I remember correctly. Which are all rootable now it's normal for a Samsung with the sales it has. It falls into the hands of someone who understands the subject and roots it in a few days. On the other hand, cheap Chinese ones sell less and don't always fall into the hands of people with enough knowledge to do so.

I've been thinking for a few days about which smartphone to buy and I'm undecided between the Motorola Moto G and the Xiaomi Red Rice 1S which is a bit cheaper. After reading some reviews I think I'll go for the Motorola even though it costs 20 or 30€ more and has some worse hardware.

What I see with Chinese mobiles is that they skimp on certain things that are not very showy and they go all out on the more showy ones like the camera pixels or the processor frequency. In return I get a design with which the mobile is bigger with a smaller screen and a worse quality battery (parameters that people don't focus on).

And, call me paranoid, but I don't trust a heavily customized Android coming from a country like China.

Hello cobito, between those two I also opted for the Moto G, besides the new one improves in several aspects including the camera, personally I think it's the best mid-range terminal at the moment and more so seeing that they have announced that the entire MOTO range will be updated to L, I like my xiaomi as a terminal but I wasn't convinced by its system customization, and I don't rule out the Chinese ones, I currently have a one plus one and I'm very happy with it but it goes beyond the price you have set.
