      @Rules:

      You see!! That's what we're for! ;D

      Of course it came out almost golden brown :smirk:

      I'm surprised that with the NH-D14 I reach 90º so soon… but I'll get my revenge, I'm about to mount car radiator fans or something like that, crazy :ugly:

      Greetings!

        @Bm4n:

        The first thing is the graphics card, it's true that depending on the game it can limit the maximum fps a little but I think the 2500k has good performance for any current game and in the future you will update the CPU when you need it.

        Hello everyone again,

        First of all, thank you all once again for advising me in this "advance" to the final decision ;D;D;D

        Seeing that I am not selling the complete computer and that the breakdown is almost insulting me (they offer me for the GTX 580 the same as the ACCELERO cooler I put on it, 75e) I was thinking that maybe I will resume this topic and get more life out of the computer, who knows, maybe one more year.

        The two options I have considered:

        1.- Would it be crazy to buy another 580 and set up SLI? Do the cards have to be of the same brand? I would also have to buy a new power supply, I have read that an SLI of 580 GTX requires 900w and in other places that it requires 1200w. And I say "crazy" because I have as a reference that DYING LIGHT choked the other day and maybe with an SLI it will keep choking hehe

        2.- Do I buy the 970 for this computer and when I retire this computer I build one from scratch with the 970 or even an SLI of 970? For sure, would you buy a "refurbished" graphics card? (as long as the store offers the corresponding warranty, of course)

        I already know that I could almost answer myself... buy the 970, but as it hurts me to sell something that cost me 650e, I prefer to listen to your opinion ? ? ?

        Thanks once again!!!
        GREETINGS!!!

        PD: I am the type of person who puts games at maximum or almost, if I can't, I wait to have a computer to play them, I am that picky ?

          Remember that SLI/CrossFire doesn't work miracles.
          Buying another 580, no matter how much OC you put into the system, won't give you more than a 760 and certainly not a 970 (watch out for the GTX 970).

          The "refurbished" thing, if the price is low enough, it makes sense to go for it.

          I agree with Bm4n. I think that with a new graphics card (and a 128 GB SSD, which costs around 50 €), and knowing that there are many people here who know how to overclock your PC, you could stretch that machine for another couple of years.

            I don't buy refurbished unless they have a good percentage discount, I don't take the risk for a few euros. You're always going to sell graphics cards poorly, that's what devalues the most and the fastest. SLI is problematic in the end, it may be an economic option second-hand, but it's money lost. Upgrade the graphics card and you'll see what you do with the rest later.

              I would sell the 580 GTX that they will give you between 80-100€ no more, nothing of setting up an SLI with a card so old. I will feel sorry for you selling it so cheap, but the more you leave it the more you will lose.

              Then look for a card that you like. Whether it's the 970 GTX or one from AMD in the same range.

                I wouldn't get a 970, that straightforward XD. Inflated price and the vram performance will be affected with the release of new games/dx12. Besides, your equipment is not current, so the games that port textures directly to ram or do ramdisk (most of them) will be diminished in fps.
                That's not to mention that depending on the game, you already have a bottleneck with the cpu even if you put it at 4.5 GHz (not in all cases).
                A better option seems to me the 960 and save to change platform or if you are set on the 970, it should be for the same thing, changing pc in just over a year.
                Regards.

                  Thanks to all!!!

                  One thing Javisoft, I thought the problems with SLIs had been "overcome", but I read that generally people still say they give "trouble".

                  I see that you have a 780 Ti SLI, what's your opinion on SLIs? Do you have it because that specific SLI doesn't give problems? Or in the future would you bet again on another SLI? I'm saying this because my idea would be to do an SLI in the future with the card I buy now. That's why I would be able to buy up to a 980 even if I don't use it 100% and use it in the computer I build in the future... and later, build an SLI with another 980 that I would buy much cheaper second-hand.

                  Thanks!!!

                    The SLI works quite well, the drivers have improved in this aspect and the games and engines scale better with multiple graphics, in some case 100%.
                    I personally advise you not to spend so much money on a 980, firstly because it will not be utilized and secondly because the Titan X and the supposed 980ti will be released soon at a price that is equal or very close, do not forget that the 980 is a mid-range/high-end graphics card sold at a high-end price.
                    I would change the platform first, even if it is second-hand and then I would buy a graphics card. Best regards.

                      Perfect, so I think I'll wait for now. Maybe I'll even look for a second-hand 960 if I see one around to hold out. I'm amazed, not only does it get 25%-33% more out of the 580 (normal) but an SLI of 960 can rival a 980. So it's better to wait for the true high-end range as you say.

                      Thanks!!!

                        Perfect, so then I think I'm going to wait for the moment. Maybe I'll even look for a second-hand 960 if I see one around to keep going. I'm blown away, not only does it get 25%-33% out of the 580 (normal) but an SLI 960 takes on a 980. So it's better to wait for the high-end for real as you say.

                        Thanks!!!

                        In fact, a gtx960 I think is equivalent to a gtx670.
