Hello weis. What do you think about the RTX?

I was just passing by to say that the 2070 (okay, it's not Ray Tracing Powered but it's the same gen), at 500€ that it's been seen, doesn't look bad at all and while I'm on a roll, here's a computer joke:

      Best regards ?

I think it's ridiculous how prices have evolved, I'm not crazy enough to spend 500€ on a 2070. 0_1543878543068_a5a73e8b-eaf5-4718-abc2-4d3ef7518e68-imatge.png That was half reasonable

Well, I must say that I didn't think it was such a bad offer. Seeing the evolution, you assimilate that it is what there is, but when it comes to RTX, I care little about what they optimize in Battlefield. The price of the Titan seems like a lack of respect to me. If they had waited a little longer to release it, relaxing the cost to around 2000 euros, I would still be interested.

What would make me not need a GPU are 100 and a few euros in these offers:

Watch out with that RX470 of 8Gb at 139€, I'm being mysteriously dragged towards the bank account to make an unexpected Christmas outlay ?

Seriously, it's a great deal, or have I gotten excited? ?

@sylver It's just that in your particular case, it's almost a necessity for that 2500K.
If I had them, I wouldn't think twice about it.

Regarding the RTX, to me it's just another one of nVidia's "don't worry boss, they'll buy these anyway" type of thing.

In terms of price/performance, as of today, in my opinion they are absolutely dispensable.

You're not wrong... But wait, maybe I'll go nuts and build two together...

Can someone be so kind as to list the reasons not to carry out such a madness? Right now I can't think, I can only visualize 16Gb of VRAM...

@sylver Putting them on undervolt, because as standard the thing would put you at 400 W (by eye) under load, and even without knowing how fine the AMD drivers are now, for the 280 € that the issue would cost you I doubt you'll find anything better.

The 1070, which would be the equivalent, does not go below 400 € per piece... you better hurry up and get them, by the way. ?

@whoololon What do you like to add fuel to the sticks... ? ? ? ?

The only thing I'm seeing is that it only has DVI output... Is that true? No HDMI for life? ?

@sylver Lleva un DVI-HDMI adapter, according to the description of the same graphics card on PCC.

But come on, going to see it physically clears up any doubts.

Look at how sylverstrao you are. Forget about multiGPUs struggling with VRAM, that's not cool anymore. For a monitor outputting audio through another side, get the 470 or if you want more, the 580, which are 40 euros. The truth is that Black Friday passed without much fanfare in graphics (some euros on 2080 but already), whoever wants should get the 2070, they don't fall like flies, as has happened with their older sisters, especially the Ti, and whoever is looking for performance/price this is the option.

If it's worth waiting for new graphics we'll see what AMD comes up with, I think they'll arrive at affordable prices with 7nm without much delay. Anyway, you'll see, AMD has improved more via drivers but that 2070 certainly has room to scratch more performance, they're scoundrels for some things but not useless either.

I honestly believe your CF is going nowhere. The Sandy, while we're at it, stretches up to Ryzen 2.

PD: I advised a little friend and he got a 2080 from Black Friday, it's going great for him but it wasn't for vices, it was for 3ds gaining a lot in render compared to an i7 920 and with the RT views that now take a damn minute and he already knows if there are too many/few lights or if he needs to move them.

You don't know it well, I have four HD 5850s at home...

The truth is that getting into almost 700 frames with a 2070 for what I play (see my annual contributions in "What did you play this 201X?" ? ), and having to buy a carriage imminently, makes it at least complicated for me.

It's true that crossfire doesn't make much sense for that reason, but changing platforms is absolutely unfeasible for me at this time. That's why I see the RX470 Nitro with 8 gigabytes as a fairly amortizable expense ?

                          Best regards!

The 2070 is at 500€ at Coolmod but nah, to spend a little bit that you can get the wheels with the car ?

I've had a car "new" for a week, I got a Kya with 5 years for 4000 euros, it's noticeable compared to the Corsita that I had, if you plug in the 470 you'll also take a big leap xD

I had 6,000 euros in the account and I've spent almost 5,000 between PS4, trailer and 4 nonsense ?

500€ is still a quarter of a car, in fact I shouldn't even pick up the 470, but let's see how much carpe diem I assume this Christmas ?

Great deal on that Kia from what I see ? I hope to get something similar, although I have a little less budget and the intention that it be a lighter as wide as possible ?
