Star Wars: the worst of the best.

And if you also want to comment on the vote, don't hold back; a thread tastes better with sauce.

Will there be anyone who doesn't vote for the ghost threat or the clone attack? xD

I haven't seen Han Solo's yet, but they say it must be the worst of all... so maybe when I see it I'll change my mind.
For now, the one that hurt me the most was "The Force Awakens". A copy of Episode IV, where you wonder why the heck they make a continuation of the end of Return of the Jedi (with how well the saga was finished here).Yes, it's true that Episode I and II are super weak and I would also put them on the list, but I even watched them with some enthusiasm back in the day (maybe that's what age does, at 20 you protest less).
Anyway, let's see how they finish the new trilogy... because they have certainly ruined my childhood jajaja.
-
For my taste, the phantom menace. I remember seeing it in college, in English screener quality, and I thought it was a load of crap (and not because of the quality of the video and audio)
Jar Jar Binks is the worst character I remember, even worse than the Ewoks. The midichlorian mull and all that, they wanted to give it a scientific explanation and they ended up with a pseudo new age crap.
It shows that I didn't like it, right?

@_neptunno_ For me as well, The Force Awakens.
Because episode 1 and 2 were promising, but that sequence when they return and Leia is waiting, Chewbacca gets out of the ship and walks past her like he's passing by a piece of shit... he doesn't even look at her (by the way, she doesn't look at him either, so the excuse they put forward to try to explain it fell flat: a torturous attempt to cover up a blatant blunder); you've known each other for over 20 years, damn it.
In the end, we'll always have the first three (before they re-edited them, where Han Solo shoots first).
-
I have a fish memory, but "Phantom Menace" is very spectacular in CGI but little else. Then in the other two of that trilogy what I can't stand is the teenage/adult Anakin, who is for giving him two good spankings and his love story with Amidala, which will be because of the dubbing or who knows, but it comes across as false and cheesy.
The one about Han Solo didn't displease me so much, but within the Spin-offs much better Rogue One.

@kynes It's that I didn't want to include Return of the Jedi because I would have to include the other two as well, and I assumed (perhaps I was being presumptuous) firstly that I would be crucified (and rightly so) for including the original trilogy in a poll about the worst film, and secondly because, as you say, the Ewoks are "pecata minuta" compared to what we had to swallow afterwards.
Apart from that, that sequence where Han Solo
grabs her boobpunches Leia in the chest is priceless. -
@kynes we haven't talked in centuries!! I'm glad to read you

Well, most people don't like Episode 1 for the same reason you mention and I agree with you. Maybe the problem is that with the perspective I saw it in 1999, a kid who never saw SW in the cinema, maybe I enjoyed it in another more simplistic way... even you're going to kill me but I saw it 2 times in the cinema, just like episode 2 and 3(I'm not so sure about this one).
But then in perspective my "stupidity" as a fan deflated and only episode 3 remains as the most drinkable of the second saga.I just think that after the two trilogies they could have put an end to it... and even if they made another saga that at least is oriented in another era, characters, etc.. there's no shortage of arguments(with some basis, of course).
But the new trilogy, the worst is Episode VII, without detracting from the fact that VIII is pretty close but at least it doesn't copy the argument(the writers are lazy, joe).
But what really bothers me about VIII is that after the happy ending with Luke and Hans, it messes everything up again after 30 years of peace!!@Yorus if you tell me that the Spin-off of Hans is better than the one of Roguer One, I'm glad to know it because I actually liked the one of Roguer(I think it's better than Episode VII).
Anyway, in short, as fans of the Saga... I'm going to watch them as a fan but they're smoking a lot of pot

No, on the contrary, Rogue One is better. The Solo one didn't seem bad to me, but considering that Han Solo played by Harrison Ford is for me the best character in the saga... well, meh, neither bad nor worthy of mention.

I was one of those who saw the first three in the cinema, with the added bonus of being a kid who got excited about anything; if the nonsense was well done... well, it falls on you when you see that what has been done after has not been done with the same ambition or enthusiasm.
I was going to write a lot, but I can sum it up by saying that, as bad as episodes I and II are (I quite liked III), they tell the story that preceded episode IV. With a lot (a lot) of plot clutter, many unnecessary sequences, continuity errors... but they try to stick to the story.
In contrast, the following ones, episodes VII and VIII, are only there to try to legitimize the introduction of new protagonists; the story that is told and how it is told seems to me like a daytime movie, with all due respect to daytime movies. The VIII was close to crossing my limit, but it ended up being just a little better than the previous installment.
As for the spin-offs, the only one that gets saved (and by a wide margin) is Rogue One; the one about Han Solo seemed to me like a succession of insignificances where I couldn't identify the Han Solo that was drawn for us in the original trilogy.
Okay, maybe I'm a bit of a purist and I get a bit of a stiff neck with the despecialized version of the original trilogy; but as I say, it's the closest thing to what I saw in the cinema back in the 80s.

No es por nada y...esto es Spoiler for the one who didn't see Episode VII...but I'm blown away by the most absurd way Hans Solo dies.
Are you serious? he gets out of many complicated situations in 3 movies and...they kill him that way with a silly face?
It's clear they wanted to get rid of him because he wouldn't participate in such movies anymore.End Spoiler!!
And for a fan like me, unconditional of this saga, it hurts a lot to have to say these criticisms. I will go see Episode IX and I'll have that excitement to see it. But I know they will disappoint me again (unless they realize they need to make a good movie once in their damn lives...damn).
Saludos!
