Season 2019/20
-
Dear everyone,
After a few rather lackluster months on my part, we are starting a new season where I have decided to dedicate more efforts to Hardlimit. First of all, during August, the biggest update since the migration to NodeBB took place, which consisted of an update of the server's hardware and software that has brought improvements in speed, stability, new features and visual changes.
First of all, I want to boost the blog space, not only by encouraging you to create a blog but also by contributing my own content. For my part, I will create a new blog where, unlike what the cover has been so far (a rehash of what I found around), I will publish original content. I have quite a few Arduinos here, Raspberry Pi boards laughing to death and some PC with about 3 decades. I say that something interesting could come out of there.
Remember that you can have a blog on Hardlimit completely free, without advertising and without any restrictions of any kind (except that the theme has to have some kind of relationship with the forum). If you know someone who wants one or you yourself are interested in having a space to share your experiences and thoughts, this is your place. You have all the information here: https://foro.hardlimit.com/topic/61776/blogs-hardlimit
On the other hand, the cover will be remade. It will no longer be Wordpress but homemade. The new cover will aggregate:
· Short news along with links to the original information
· Links to all the new entries of the Hardlimit blogs
· The latest validations of the test bench
· The latest active threads of the forum
· And maybe some other informationThe roadmap for the new cover is already more or less defined. We will start with something basic where short news and latest blog entries are shown. From there it will grow.
Regarding the test bench, improvement work has already been announced. The priority at the moment is to remake the internal engine of the central to improve response time and take the opportunity to show new statistics in addition to eliminating the restriction of 32 threads.
Regarding the forum, it remains the central axis. All interactions of all elements will be done through the forum, so the enhancement of all satellite pages could bring more participation.
To finish (although it will not be the last thing to be done), a Telegram bot will be created so that you are informed of the latest threads and the most voted short news on the cover.
Remember that for quite some time, Hardlimit has been free of advertising and trackers. Your visits are completely anonymous and the visit data is not ceded to anyone. From the economic point of view, no one wins anything here. If you use any blocker like uBlock Origin you will see that on no Hardlimit page does it have to block anything simply because there is nothing to block.
PD: As always, suggestions are welcome.

Thank you very much for the effort and time you dedicate to keep our forum alive and up to date in qualities and contents. It is a privilege to have your dedication and your knowledge.
I would love to contribute something more, in the form of a blog or whatever, to see if I come up with something for this season.
On the other hand, if I start receiving equipment to repair or similar that are not in the database, I will try to pass them the test of the test bench, everything is for contributing.
Greetings!

Good luck with this new journey and let's see if Hardlimit gets a new boost.
For my part, I promise nothing, if anything, to resume the blog that I have stopped, mainly because I never have clear what orientation to give it. Besides, I am in a period where I have given priority to other things, some for pleasure and others by obligation, but I hope to have more time after the summer and resume the blog and another small personal project.
