Graphics card for Lenovo E50-00
-
Good evening, I don't know if I'm in the right thread, but I'll tell you. I bought a second-hand PC in 2018 after my previous computer died. It's a Lenovo E50-00 Thinkcentre equipped with a 4-core Pentium J2900 micro, 4GB of RAM and integrated Intel HD card. The thing is that I would like to add a basic graphics card (I thought of a Geforce 710) but the power supply is external 65W (although it supports 90W).
My doubt is, can I plug in the said card? Because reading on the official Nvidia page, it specifies that it needs an internal power supply of 300W. I attach screenshots of the technical details:

Good evening @vreyes1981
I don't know if it's better to open a new thread, but then the moderation colleagues will review it.
The short answer is yes, you can mount the GeForce 710 on that Lenovo because it doesn't consume much or need extra power beyond the PCI express port.
Important to check that the board has a PCI express free and that the card is the right size for the case (I think low profile in this case).I personally would try to put the power supply that supports the highest power, for peace of mind more than anything.

@Sylver Good morning and thanks for responding. Well, the truth is that yes, it has two PCI-Express ports, one of them x16 speed. As for the card, it is of the low profile type, with passive cooling.
Again, thank you very much for your help.

@vreyes1981 I'm branching the thread to a new one.
