Oh well, with the meanings. Friki comes from the English word freak and one of the meanings for this word is "socially maladjusted". But in Spanish this word means many things: from a socially maladjusted person to an enthusiast of a certain topic that they know a lot about. In short, it can be from an insult to a compliment and the latter has been spreading in recent years. Surely the meaning continues to evolve.
