Test of the Real Nvidia Gtx Titan, single-sli-tri Sli, 4 WAY SLI
-
With the release of the new Gtx 780 Ti on 11/7 for $699, I've lost interest in building a Titan Sli
There's a drop in the price of Gtx 770/780, so for €900 I can buy a Sli and it will outperform the Titan.
I'll save that money for the next graphics card change, as everything is going well with my current setup.
I can handle the tinkering, but I see myself spending €€€ on a second Titan. The techinferno bios for 24/7 gaming is worth the change with a single Titan
Thanks to everyone for your help!
The truth is, it's a shame what Nvidia is doing, now they release the 780TI that practically surpasses or matches the Titan with a notable saving in price, but well, that's what there is and everyone who likes this world already knows it.
Regarding the bios, I would say that for a single Titan and I imagine you're at a resolution of 1920*1080, it's almost not feasible for you, now if you want to push the limits of your hardware like more than one and get that Fps or higher results in the Benchs, I would say do it. Another thing is the risk you take when flashing the bios, you can leave your gpu as a doormat, so be very careful.
Regards.

We already know that these of NVIDIA and computer science in 6 months is already dead. Like a car when you buy it is already worth 3000€ less minimum
Let's see if the market brings any surprises with discounts. We will be attentive
The resolution that I play is 6100x1080 (Mode corrected with Bezel) in Surround and the thing about doormat of almost 1000€ will not be worth it.Regards
-
Ruruloko, but have you tried the ones from evga hydrocooper? I doubt they won't hold up
ELp the temperatures of the VRMs you want to see them, in Aida or does it matter how you see them? it's that maybe I can get you a script so you can see them, that is on a small screen.Well I join the request, if it can be. It would be good to have them controlled, my intention is to keep them at 1300, and I would like to have that controlled.
And of course as I don't plan to change them for a long time, when it becomes necessary due to game demands I will join some sister to the couple. I get rid of one because it lowers the resolution of the surround and with two it goes very well. But I know that someday I will need some more.
Thanks in advance
A greeting

However, I'm going to be without them for a week...they have already gone with Gustavo to put together a massive custom RL for my use.

I didn't know you had a surround….. I would put a twin in it but it's like you explained before it's not worth it. I would say sell it and if possible get yourself a pair of GTX 780, TI.

Nvidia should have released the 780 at the same time as the Titan although I think they would have sold few Titans, anyway $699 seems like another robbery to me, I suppose they will refer to the 6GB one because otherwise it seems very expensive if the 780 goes down to $499 it seems like a much better option.
I would prefer a 780Ti of 3GB and at $599, it would be fair because that price here is 700€ and it will be another robbery.

I agree, besides I remember as if it were today that you told me to wait for the release of the 780 that it would be at peace with the Titan or at least it would be worth less, but the release of the 780s is not that they had an affordable price either.
They are being seen to go down on amazon and in German stores, now would be the time to acquire them.
What we have to take into account is those of us who use surround or multimonitor and want to apply filters are those 6Gb that will come in very handy. I remember that with the Hitman Absolution the Tri Sli 670 configuration was short of Vram, normal given that now with the Titans it consumes around 5.2GB.regards.

That's what I'm thinking but selling the Titan bothers me it only has 7 months of use.
I'll wait to see if there's any offer clearing stock or a second-hand one later.
It's more than enough now with everything and really these from Nvidia …..Regards

I remember when I told you to wait, to me these graphics seem very good but they have gone 7 towns over with the prices, they shouldn't have released a Titan, they should have called it 780 and had 3 and 6gb, many of you have paid for the DP that you won't use, I prefer that they disable it and cost €350 less.
I will probably get the 780 now, maybe I'll add a second soon because at €449 it seems like a very good buy

I think it's the best thing you do, selling it would only serve to lose money with it and leave you with less performance than you have.

This Saturday I was about to buy an Evga Titan for 900€, but I regretted it. It hurts that they don't go down compared to the performance of the 780 and 780 Ti
In the end I will wait a while to see how the market stays, but if another Titan is going to fall. The tinkering gets to me.Thanks for your help
Pd: I imagine those of us who have a Titan/780 this last price drop doesn't feel good at all and it's strange on the part of Nvidia, these from Amd have hit hard.

You should wait a little and you'll see how in the end the Titan goes down, at least to stay close to the 780ti of 6Gb in price, it should cost them the same and if they can bring out a more powerful and cheaper 780Ti, the Titan no longer makes sense at those prices, I suppose they will discontinue it and offer the ones they have.
The launch of AMD has been good, even the renaming of the previous ones and lowering their prices has been good, because Nvidia had been left out of place, now if the 770 stays under 300€ it will be competitive.
The 780Ti I don't think will be more powerful than the Titan, they will be the same, although with more frequency and faster memory, so as not to look bad in benchmarks against the R9 290X but with OC both should perform very similarly, at the same frequency there should be very little difference.

Saludos.

It's true but they should have released them since the GTX 600 series. The good thing for those who want to buy now like in your case, has been the release of the new AMDs that have made Nvidia lower their prices, this would be good for all of us, too bad it wasn't the release before...
Regards.
It's just that I felt bad seeing how a 660Ti ended up becoming a 680, that's why I said I wouldn't buy until they released something decent and not at any price.
now things are getting better, it's not that they are cheap but with the discounts they will be worth much more, even now that there are bios that remove boost and you can put voltage it seems like the best time for a 780.
Anyway here in this country we are the same, the last ones to lower them, the first ones to raise them, in most countries they will apply the discount less here.
Regards
-
Fuck ELP all for water?, and you said that you put water in the gpus, has the bug bitten you after seeing what these gpus do with volts?
A hug ;D.

Because as of today I don't have family obligations, others but not those and I can afford to buy such components, but that's with a great effort...
They should have put these prices at their release and as of today with the release of AMD they should have dropped like this is happening right now. This has been going on for many years and I think it will continue until AMD releases a competitive product that is up to Nvidia's level. When the 7970s came out I remember they were tearing like beasts as can happen today with the new R9 290X, but the one who likes to play and tries with many games realizes the flaw they have, and the one who denies it I suppose is deceiving himself if he's happy that way....
Personally I love that it comes with the bios modified for the T. Boost disable thing, it reminds me of the old way of overclocking our gpus, you always see the frequency on the same line no oscillations, and if we're the worst of Europe not to mention the rest of the world......
If you decide to buy it you'll tell us.
Regards.
-
Damn ELP, all of them for water?, and you said you put water in the GPUs, did the sight of these GPUs being overclocked get to you?
Take care;D.
All, all…jeje we're at ello.De right now, we have 3, there's 1 left..
I'm building something massive..an external case, with 2 quadruple radiators with 16 Thypon fans, and two separate systems. So I can have 2 GPUs in each system..plus, this case has quick connectors, so you can plug in the graphics cards without any problems, and it can be reused continuously for upgrades or other components. That's what always held me back in previous tests with RL, because I always had the radiators loose, since I work on a bench table and I almost never used them again when I upgraded.
Honestly, after seeing what 4 TITANs at 1300MHZ can do, for the first time I've lost the desire to tinker because obviously there's nothing that can resist them at any resolution and with any filters...and I just want to sit back and relax once and for all.
But of course, that's not sustainable for air cooling despite my antics..so I'm going to your side very reluctantly...:(
Watch out, because if I get the urge to enter that hwbot thing with the balls...I'll leave you all in your underpants...jaja
Take care Paco.

Well I must thank that R9 290X for getting a better price for the 780, I wanted a reference one but I can't wait any more, I also want the games that come with it.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 OC 3GB GDDR5 GV-N780OC-3GD Graphics Card
The competition is good, let's see how it turns out.
This is a living hell I am already considering canceling the order, if they release a new revision of GK110 I want to see what it's like, now 780 GHz with a new chip revision and also the 780ti also another revision.
http://videocardz.com/47420/nvidia-updates-geforce-gtx-780-ghz-editionThat 780Ghz smells like an OC from the factory, neither B1 nor milk, if it consumes much more, that's what I will do but companies should do it better, I mean I don't think there is a difference with the 780 oceada, it smells like a makeshift and $100 more, that model is customized that's why it has better temperature.

Well I think you did very well..great price, very good temps and if you want OC, besides it already comes with it, you do it yourself..I wouldn't pay $100 more for a card that's the same, no matter how much chip is renewed, and for $100mhz more you do it yourself whenever you want…and if you want 1300MHZ..there you have the "trick" of the msi..I mean that..
A hug and congratulations...welcome to the GK110 club...;)
