@kynes Oído cocina. He puesto un icono con un periódico en la barra superior que enlaza con la portada.
-
@cobito on mobile lacks text, only the icon is visible. The rest of the icons have their explanatory text.
-
@kynes It's already fixed. Also yesterday I made changes to the typography to match the forum and increased the font size for the mobile version which was almost unreadable.

From now on you can vote on news. By clicking the "¡Interesante!" button, a vote will be added. You don't need to be logged in; votes are anonymous. The idea in the near future is that when a news item reaches a certain number of votes, a notification will be sent via Telegram.

Silly question. There are sites (for example, hexus.net) where the front page news has a comments section, and it automatically generates a thread in the forum that includes both the front page news as the first post, as well as the news comments. I suppose it would be a lot of work, but perhaps it could be interesting to unify the forum and front page in that way, and be able to comment on the news.
I don't know if it would be worth the work, or if it could be done, but perhaps it's an option to give the forum a bit more movement.
-
@kynes Ok I'll take note although as you say, it won't be as immediate as what has been done so far.
-
I know I'm a pain. The front page rss doesn't show the new news, it shows the ones you had before the redesign.
-
@kynes The RSS feed for the new one is not up yet but is planned.

Hello Cobito:
I have a question. Wouldn't there be a way to send the veteran news that we find interesting by writing the short entry and then you can look at it and publish it? Maybe that way we can gain a little more on the front page. If we could already put a small photo of the original article it would be great.
I tell you this because news that we put in the telegram chat could also be put here. I don't think it would take much time to help you with more news.
I suppose that making the entry with something from the mobile is more complicated, and that you would have to keep an eye out for duplicates. But even with duplicates, we can get more information that is not put in the first news that we send -
@garfield I think it's a good idea. It would be a matter of tinkering a bit with the editor and giving access to the veterans.
Now I'm turning the issue of the comments that @kynes said over in my head, which I think I have more or less figured out. Let's see if I can carve out a couple of afternoons or three this week...

It has taken me some time but I think it's ready. You can now comment on the front page following the mechanics suggested by @kynes
Every time someone comments on something, a new thread is created in the forum with the news and comments are added as a response. The idea is that the thread is created in the corresponding subforum, although as it is a new field, old news will be created in the HL News subforum and I will move them to their place.
I suppose the aesthetics still need a good polish, but it will do for now.
For now, you can only comment anonymously from the front page, although in the near future it will be possible to do so with the forum user. Of course, from now on you can also comment on the news from the forum with your user, although for this someone must have sent a comment previously from the front page so that the thread is created.
The next stops are:
· Allowing forum users to submit short news.
· RSS. -
So this will already look like reddit, with what we will gain in knowledge on the page and we all know that the pages that now have more traffic are the ones that have more news on the front page.
-
Hello Cobito:
When I try to send a comment, even if I answer the question correctly, it tells me that it is incorrect.
-
@garfield How strange. What browser do you use? Do you enter the answer in numeric format and without spaces?
-
It happens to me the same way, in Linux Mint with Firefox and with uBlock deactivated.
-
Okay, I've found it. You should be able to comment without any problems now.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
-
You can now comment on news from the front page with our forum user. With this done, it should be relatively easy to implement the possibility for forum users to send short news, which will be the next thing to arrive.
-
Just two months after the last version, I return to the topic. From now on, anyone who is registered in the forum can submit a news item to the front page.
If you want to submit something, once you are on the front page, log in and the "Submit" button will appear in the header.
The news is not moderated and at the moment it cannot be edited. What you send will go directly.

With great power, comes great responsibility

I'm afraid. Some smart jerk will use it to put spam.
