Tomb Raider I (1996) - Remake

I plan to bring a series of posts about custom levels from the famous and mythical Tomb Raider saga to the games section of the forum. It probably won't be popular, but if this benefits and helps any user, I'll be more than satisfied.
Since the end of 1999, some fans and enthusiasts of the classic TR saga began to use the editor that came with “Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation” to create their own levels and enjoy a few more hours of this game. Over time, tools, utilities, and even new level editors were developed thanks to the participation of fans with programming knowledge, which expanded the development to the rest of the games in the saga from the mythical Tomb Raider (1996) to Tomb Raider: Chronicles, which marked the end of an era in this saga. Some are not levels, they are complete games composed of several levels and sometimes even some cinematics or in-game videos. After all these years, the community is still very active and we can see authentic jewels. Of course, there are levels that have low quality, but not everyone can be a genius and we always appreciate all the contributions that we end up enjoying for free.
To inaugurate this “series of threads”, I can think of nothing better than bringing a Remake of the first TR1 based on the engine of TR4. I played it a few years ago and I can assure you that it deserves to be in the hall of fame of trle, a very good remake.

author profile: Daoine SidheAll the levels I will comment on, except for some exceptions, will be levels/games that I have tried and I think are worth it. That's why nothing better than, for this level, to encourage you to discover this “universe” and for those of you who have already played a lot of TR, to have some more reference

In case you have any doubts or don't know how to continue in the game, here I provide you with a guide (As you can see, the duration is about 5h30min):
Guide of the first level in Spanish (it's the channel of a compañero from the foro.tombraiderfans.es

A greeting! -
I can vouch for the fact that my good friend @_Neptunno_ has tried and enjoyed countless of these levels and full games based on Tomb Raider, and he will undoubtedly bring us the best and most interesting ones of them all.Personally, I want to thank you for introducing me to this world of "extension" of the saga, since as a true passionate of it (like you
) I always have that inner itch to play it and remember very special moments in those mysterious environments with such particular graphics. And of course, thanks for discovering it to more people every day, because that helps it to keep growing
Greetings!!

In 2001, my house got internet, and that's when I started exploring the possibility of TR levels since I had always been excited about seeing how they were made and so on. I found some information through a guy called “Turbo Pascal” who created an editor, and well, I poked around a bit. I don't know if I would have found any levels later, it sounds to me like if from Darío Romero (DaroRaider) but I think I got stuck somewhere and as I didn't have any guides or anything I would leave it aside. I think when I started playing levels in a more or less official way it would be 2007 but I think until 2009 or 2010 I didn't get fully into it thanks to discovering the community behind it. I'm really happy because I thought I was the only one “flipped” who liked this xD. Well, keep going @sylver, I'm really glad to have helped you discover a bit more about this little world. Let's see if someone else gets inspired, I hope @cobito tells us something if someone gets inspired one day ?. Saludos!! -
@_neptunno_ The truth is that with these threads you are tempting me. As soon as I can find the time, I will explore the TR world and of course I will say something.

@cobito if you played and liked the first TR of 96 back in the day, you'll like this one too. I understand that some levels have the graphic quality of the original games and nowadays it seems to give you more of a thing, but I assure you that when you're playing for a while you forget. But many other levels already have an impressive quality and work.
A hug guys, I'm glad you like this proposal
