NAS experts, I call upon you...

I want to set up a NAS at home with RAID 5 as a minimum, so I need one with at least 4 bays.
The thing is that everything I find is for 3.5 bays and I want to set it up with 2.5 SSDs as small and compact as possible. I want very low power consumption and minimal noise.

At one time, the QNap SS-439 Pro existed with this configuration, but today it is very outdated and no longer manufactured. The thing is that I can't find anything similar.

Can anyone help me?

I see it as complicated to compete with such a small size, but since they are SSD units, if size is very important and you are open-minded (I am not so open-minded about these things), one option would be to look for a mini-itx case like this one and mount the drives wherever you can.

That case with power supply costs 73€, a decent mini-itx motherboard with integrated CPU is around 90€ and two 4GB modules are 40€. In total, it's around 200€.

The advantage is that it gives you the flexibility of a PC. The disadvantage is that you will have to invest time in researching if the power supply has enough SATA connectors, in finding a motherboard with 4 SATA ports (it seems that this is complicated now), in determining if the volume of the case is enough to fit all the drives and in seeing if there are power supplies without a fan or if the fan noise is acceptable to you, etc. In short, it's work and it won't be perfect.

If you want something minimally serious, I would rule out this option. But if it's a temporary solution or you are desperate, it's a possibility.

Thanks for your suggestion, but I would like something already prefabricated and more reliable. Today's NAS offer a lot of reliability.

Thanks to everyone for the collaboration, but I think I have already found what I want.
In the end, neither 2.5 disks nor anything.
A NAS with 6 M.2 disks that is ultra silent, ultra fast, powerful, with HDMI output and SPIF to put next to the TV as a media player....
