It all depends on your needs, if as you mention in the second to last line you need mobility and autonomy I would go for the MacBook.
A few years ago I made a similar change for the same reason, a Lenovo Y560 for a 13' Macbook Pro (the PRO) and it was an excellent change. I left it with 8GB of RAM and to virtualize and do everything I needed for university.

Although Nvidia "sabotages" and I put it in quotes, their graphics cards from several generations ago, which performed very well a few years ago, suddenly don't perform as well anymore; while AMD cards from several generations ago like the 7950 - 7970, without being cucumbers today, still perform well.

Que tal mira yo tuve la 7770 un tiempo y la verdad que es media la grafica cuando lo probe con el Far Cry 3 cuando corria parecia que se tardaba un poco en la frecuencia de imagenes conste que te estoy hablando de una tarjeta ati nueva no usada y a configuraciones de 1920 x 1080 . En conclusion si tus opciones son esas dos te recomiendo la 7870 ademas que tambien sale bien un crossfire mas adelante para usar su potencial al maximo.

Creo que las intercambiaré el E6600 lo dejaré con la 4850 (por el tema del hdmi y el sonido) , que es el que va a la tele y el quad con la gts 250

Alguns de los PCs que tú tienes como segundones son mejores que los que yo tengo como principales. Y van a seguir así un par de años más así sólo puedo decir que no son malas máquinas. El e6660 y el q5500 pueden incluso seguir dando guerra hasta en juegos (con algo más gráfica, claro). Los 4 son válidos para prácticamente cualquier tarea.

Vienen de un AMD X2 4200+ así que el cambio ya es considerable, yo estoy pensando en hacerme con esa misma placa y un Pentium (durante un tiempo, y luego actualizar).

Yo tenía una HD 2400 de repuesto pero se la pasé a mi padre junto con mi anterior equipo. Supongo que hayo podrá guardar en el armario la Nvidia. Si saltas a un 2500K o más adelante a Haswell tendrás integrada y podrás pillar una refurby a gusto :ugly:

@hAyO: Claro, la 6950 descartada, porque el dinero lo invertiria mi padre, asi que supongo que la 6870-6850 a no ser de que haya algun milagro economico. La 6870 está bien, rinde un poco menos que una GTX470. Sería buena sustituta de tu 4870, en mi opinión. Saludos!

Gracias, ya te digo, la P5K-E iba bien, hasta que le e pinchado una 7300GT, al no darme nada por pantalla he reiniciado varias veces, y despues vuelto a colocar la 8600gt arrancar y bloquearse. Me e ido unas horas y al volver solo veo no aarranca.
