Wenas el tema es ke me entere del vdd mod ke se puede realizar en la abit rev 1.2 y buscando por foros guiris me he encontrado esto: ES POSIBLE EN LAS ASUS A7N8X/DELUXExD

Why do it
It allows higher FSB, more stable operation, reduction/disappearance of sound issues.
The method's main benefits is that it won't void your MB warrantly via soldering, as it is totally removeable without
a trace.
No damage to components can occur by inaccurate/inexperienced soldering.I will list what I did in order.
- Measure sb voltage via monitoring point (picture modified to help visualise) with bios chipset volatage
set to default=1.6v. write down. On most rev 1.04 it is about 1.59v with the standard smd values for 628=150ohm
and r630=130ohm.
2)turn off psu and power to MB, remove AGP card, now measure resistance of r628. This won't be 150 ohm as you can't
measure it acurately unless you desolder it. But it will give you a reference value. I have the above mentioned resistor
values. My reading was 94.5ohm
3)Now look at this web page to see picture of how to pencil a smd
I used a pacer HB(for tight spots) and a soft lead pencil (B) for larger areas.
I made sure these were conductive by measuring the resistance through the pencil!4)Do 1 stroke on the side of r628 closest to the pci slot. Blow to get rid of the excess pencil around the SMD.
Measure resistance-write it down, for me it only decreased the resistance by 2-3 ohm. Which is about 3% of original.
I then pluged in psu and then while holding the multimeter at the test point powered up the system. If the voltage
would have raised above 1.9v-2.0 I would have turned off the power at the PSU immediately (I had my finger on the switch
the whole time) For me this increased vdd to 1.599v. write down this value.
I continued to thicken the pencil line on the side by repeating the above steps-but found that I reached a plateu of
about 1.61v. By looking at the values you have written down you should get and idea what decrease in resistance will
get what voltage. For me a decrease in 5ohm resulted in and increase of 0.1v at the test point.
I then used the pacer lead to pencil in the opposite side of the SMD, making sure not to touch the capacitor next to r628. This increased the vdd to 1.62
I then penciled in the top of r628 and this gave me 1.653v and a resistance of 91.1ohm.
This was the max I could achieve. At that time.5)That wasn't enough for me, so I experimented with differnet compounds that could lower the smd resistance. None
of these proved to be easy and safe. So after I used fingernail remover to clean the SMD, I retried the pencil trick.
This time I got a max vdd of 1.768 and ressitance of 84ohmWhy did I get more the second time I tried this method ?
Honestly I don't know. some hypothesises:
- cleaning the SMD with acetone allowed more graphite shaving to adhere to the SMD
- Sliver particles where still attached from previous experiments allowing better conduction of current across the SMD.
3)I started to let the shaving build up around the smd, then measured resistance, then turned on the power. Once on, I
then blew the shavings away. For some reason the graphite seemed to stick better once power was going through the SMD.
Heat maybe did this ? But I was carful not create a bridge betwwen adjacent components. - I may have got shaving building up on the underneath side of r628 SMD and the MB allow more current to flow around
the SMD resistor.
I wouldn't try the pencil trick without a multimeter, it is a crude way to change the resistance of an SMD and unless
know how much the resistance has decreased, you will have no way of estimating the resultant vdd-esp if it is too
high-> resulting in a dead north and south bridges.
Now saying that I personally couldn't reduce the resistance and hence increase the vdd enough for my liking. No matte
r how much I penciled in the SMD. BUT this depends entirely on what values resistor you have at r628 and r 630. Some
people have different values in their MB. This affects their vdd. This is why some MB have a default sb vdd of 1.76v.
If your MB is like this, you can potenially overvolt aka kill your southbridge. This is why I would recc using a
multimeter. Hey I bought one for $20 AUD or $8 US, good lifetime investment !All in all the mod allowed me to get max of 1.852v this enalbed me to boot into xp at fsb of 233, The voltage of the

Por casualidad me he encontrado con esta rama…. no lo he podido leer entero, ya que no tengo tiempo ahora mismo, pero, ¿sabeis si se puede hacer algo así con una Asus A7N8x Deluxe rev. 2.0?

tambien se podia hacer para el vcore y el vdimm contstad -
si, se puede haccer para los 3 voltajes
en esta web en la seccion articulos y guias puedes ver ke komponentes hay ke modificar para kada voltaje

ya las hecho yo esque no me entero de nada como ha puesto el chip a 4v y el vcore por encima de 2.17 una cosa mu rara ni esquemas ni nada ni resistencias ni na AYUDAA
