    Use the latest nvflash for Windows that you have on techpowerup.

    Then you enter the administrator console (cmd) in administrator mode and through the cd.. you go to the folder where you have the nvflash and the bios.rom.

    Then, inside that folder, you write, without the quotes:

    "nvflash bios.rom -4 -5 -6"

    If you have more than one graphics card, you have to use the –index

    it would be like this:

    "nvflash --index=0 bios.rom -4 -5 -6"

    The 0 in the index is for the first graphics card, 1 for the second and so on...

    Another thing, the bios.rom I put is an example. You will have to see how you have named the.rom file of the bios...

    Once you have typed that, you put everything to yes and press enter, and it will tell you at the end that it has flashed successfully. Then you turn off the computer and restart.

    It is preferable to uninstall the drivers beforehand, to then do a correct (customized) installation, and that everything is fine. It is also preferable to uninstall and reinstall the afterburner, precisionx...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------SECOND EXPLANATION---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Download the nvflash for windows, it works on all windows including 8.1...

    To make a backup, you have to do it before flashing the new bios. You put yourself in the folder where you have copied the nvflash with its files and the bios to flash, through the command console in administrator mode.

    Once in the folder from the console, you type, without the quotes:

    "nvflash --save bios.rom"

    The bios.rom is the name you give to the bios you save, it can be bios, a, pepito...

    Then after doing this, you just have to follow the steps explained before...

    You download the nvflash from here:

    techPowerUp!

    The bios of svl7, from here:

    @alexrp1990:

    Hello everyone, I have an AMD Asus Radeon 5970 graphics card, if you remember it was and still is a powerhouse, today skyrim started to run badly on it, with sudden drops in fps, in the end it seems that it was because of the drivers that were messing up, the problem came later, I noticed that one of the green leds keeps flashing and another right next to it is static, the one that is static and on I had noticed before but the flashing one I don't remember seeing it work like that before.
    Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening?:wall:
    I'm scared it's going to break, it cost me around 570€ and it has worked great for me for 3 and a half years.

    Best regards.

    Well if it breaks now you can take advantage of upgrading to other cheaper ones that will run better in games like Skyrim, the problem with your card is its low vram, now games require more memory, I had the same problem with a 295, it holds its own in terms of power but as it is limited by memory in the end a newer monogpu is better, I removed it and put a 470 which runs better, plus it's monogpu and I got it cheap.

    But now you have cards that won't be that expensive and will perform better in dx11 and will run better because they have 2 or 3GB of memory, if the card works well I wouldn't worry about the flashing light.

    The sudden drops in FPS could be due to lack of Vram, bottlenecks, stuttering, lack of smoothness and Skyrin as it gets mods it will ask for even more memory.

    I personally don't like duals because when they come out and are the most powerful they are expensive, but then when newer cards come out they lose a lot of value, plus the new ones come out better prepared in terms of power and vram, more powerful in Dx, that's why in the end graphics that perform even less than duals run better in games, it's preferable to go for the cheaper ranges over 250€ and upgrade earlier when the next generation comes out.

    regards

    @gamingpy:

    Many thanks fjavi as always your answer is very complete, you are a great forum contributor thanks for your answer I will really see which one I decide on since as you say both are really good, I think I will get the evga because it is SC and brings a slightly higher clock at least a little more hehe since on amazon at the moment I do not see the gigabyte available although I would also love the winforce for another option I also have ebay but I never know I have never bought from ebay and I do not know if it would be good to buy from there then to regret having rushed and in the end it would be much more expensive <:(

    Regards

    The evga option is very good because it is the one with the most bios (modified), but in these graphics I do not think it will also matter that one has a higher frequency from the factory, because then the real boost that is reached will depend on the Asic or how good it comes out, my wf revision 2 comes to 954 and 1006 boost but in reality the boost is 1124, this is what is usually put in the games, others that are worse perhaps will not reach 1100 speaking of equal models and some that come out better than mine could be put at a higher frequency, that's why I think that the factory OC already influences little, because among equal models some will reach a higher boost than others.

    Although if the manufacturer chooses the best Asics for their OC models then they could be somewhat better than the models without OC, the only problem I see with my WF is that it seems the phases do not keep them as cool as other models, but the GPU does keep it at very good temperatures, in fact it is easy for the evga to keep a slightly better temperature on the VRM than the WF, but the OC and boost issue is a lottery with all the 780 no matter the brand, although with voltage it seems that all go up.

    The boost is actually an automatic OC, if the game demands and maintains high load on the GPU, it raises the frequency according to how good that GPU is, if it does not need so much load to maintain playable fps then it goes down in frequency and voltage, at least that's what my does, games like Crysis 3 can sometimes turn on by itself up to 1137mhz, although the normal is that it stays fixed at 1124 speaking of most games, new games that demand like AC4 or Batman, Splinter Cell BL, it usually stays alone at 1124 I only saw in Crysis 3 that sometimes it goes up even more frequency.

    But a card without OC if it had luck with a very good Asic and came out good could reach more boost than one with OC that has a worse chip and worse Asic, although I suppose that manufacturers will put the best ones for their OC models, it's easy for the gigabyte to be good and turn on by itself with boost to 1200, although some will also be better than others speaking of that model.

    Does the new graphics card give you an image?
    If so, enter the Bios, reset the default settings. Save and exit.
    Start by pressing F8 and boot into safe mode, if it starts up and works well, format the PC.
    Sometimes adding new hardware can cause the OS not to work.

    Best regards.

    I have finally made my decision.
    Asus GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5 90YV0392-M0NA00 Graphics Card
    Seagate SSHD 2TB SATA 3 ST2000DX001 Hard Drive
    Zalman Z11 Plus Zalman Z11 Plus Case/Tower
    I needed more space for the hard drive, and another drive, so I decided on this hybrid. I will have to research how to set it up and see how it goes.
    As for the tower, I have been thinking about getting this one for a while, because the one I have doesn't have much space, and this one is very well ventilated, and I can use the old one for my dad's computer, jajaja.
    Thanks a lot for the advice, fjavi.
    Best regards.

    In duales it is normal to have higher temperatures, what you can do when playing is force vsync so that it only gives the necessary frames and make a fan profile with MSI afterburner, which speeds up the fan earlier, for example when passing from 65º the fan goes up, because the factory profiles are very conservative and only go up when passing from 80º, so then it is more difficult to cool it down.

  • Is this what you call electrical noise? Can I fix it?

    If it seems like electrical noise, which usually happens when several components coincide, in the video it looks like it's the graphics but it's easy that with another source it wouldn't do it, to me it only happened once with a 260Gtx and a rampage with a Thermaltake source, putting a seasonic source it stopped doing it and also when putting the same graphics and the thermaltake in a P5K it didn't do it either, anyway that electrical noise seems louder than the one I had, in mine it sounded very little.

    Anyway I had sources and other boards that's why I could change components, but the noise usually occurs when two or more components coincide.

    Where it also makes a little noise is if you have the graphics overclocked passing benchmarks that give many fps, because a few days ago it did sound something when passing a vantage with an SLI of 480 and with a Corsair TX850w, but in that case the source must already be working at a fairly high load.

    The GTX770 is an improved GTX680, and the R9 280X is an HD7970 Ghz Edition without the improvements of the 290, so I stick with the GTX770 but always looking for a good deal.

    I suppose it depends on the application. A few months ago I read some documentation on Bitcoin mining and for that specific task, ATI wins hands down against nVidia. But elsewhere I read that a test version of VRay (rendering engine) was getting very good results with nVidia graphics thanks to CUDA cores.

    @miguelsat:

    218€ to 760 if I can I buy that even if it comes out a little more expensive if I buy one like the 270x, the 10€ euros of shipping costs for the return would not have been worth it.

    If it is a good model the 760 is not so bad, but they have lowered the 770 and 780 and something they would have to lower the 760, the reference models do not like me at all in that card, that's why I only count from the models with better dissipation.

    @Obione:

    If you rule out the 780 and multiGPU I suppose the thing would be a Gigabyte 290X in Xtremmedia at 480€ delivered at home.

    I think I'm going to stick with the r9 290 for 350 mainly because of the price-performance ratio.

    je thanks for replying Elp3 -I'm a fan of yours from afar and from healthy envy-

    man I would have to put…..let's say I got 190....+ 35 that I recovered from selling an old graphics card I had lying around......225 planted me in what it practically cost me

    the idea was the msi 770 from 290 so it would be putting 65, counting that if I was lucky I would sell each game they give away for 10 euros...I would put about 35

    and I would return to my beloved msi - the gigabyte is just too much of a mess, it's more of a hassle than my old 260gtx-
    :wall::wall::wall::wall:

    well I'm going to stop thinking about it because I'm the worst if I think about it coldly you're right I'll wait for the next Batman from Rocksteady to change my graphics card

    damn Batman, I bought the 460 with Asylum, the 560ti with City, and the 760 with Origins
    I'm scared if now between Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Games Montreal they release one per year like the Call of Duty

    @Handrox: Lo estoy intentando hacer funcionar, pero no va la mia es una EVGA GTX 680 reference… Parece que debe tener estos VRM NCP4206 , aunque creo que una de las Titan de ELP3 usa otro distinto y lo hizo funcionar. Aquí esta la información lo que yo no me entero bien de todo lo que se dice. [UPDATED for AB Beta 16] Fully unlocked NCP4206 Voltage / LLC mod tool si que a uno le dice paciencia con las WF. Luego hablando de las 290 y 290X parece que tienen problemas de mantener la frecuencia, a mi me sorprendio mucho que tuviera un perfil tan bajo de ventilador, pero necesitan o sacar personalizadas o mandar bios con un perfil mejor. http://techreport.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=90345&sid=e0f934cd238ba8a97f7fa3d513da1430 saludos
