I'm glad about the extension that the graphic has given you, but you know that it's only a matter of time before it fails again :mute:, at least it will give you time to save up for another :p:p.

That's what they say when you do this... they fail again soon. Let's see how long it lasts, for now it seems like nothing has happened to it; it even works better because I cleaned the entire heatsink and the fan was a bit clogged... I've been a bit neglectful with the poor thing. Aish.. Best regards!

the fact that it fails again is relative. I baked the ati 1950 of a colleague at Christmas and it is still alive.

Have you checked the thermal paste on the GPU?

This happened to me on my 8800 GT (G92) that was malfunctioning, and after changing the paste, the problem was fixed.

I have been away practically all of August, my mother has been using the PC to check her email and browse a bit. 2 days ago she called me saying that the PC was showing her vertical red lines and that it was freezing. Exactly the same thing that happened to me..

Today I have returned and it has the same symptoms, tomorrow I will reboot for the second time to see how it goes…

Well, I think baking is miraculous and harmful at the same time, so much concentrated heat wouldn't be the same as a 500% overclock with a stock cooler? Well, not exactly because the GPU isn't active, but the heat would somewhat deteriorate the whole package... right? I'm faced with that dilemma, correct me if I've overthought it

that is a failure in the memories and possibly of some soldering of the same
and the baking causes the solders to make contact and sometimes it turns out more or less well
and it lasts a good season and other times it lasts a short time
it is a matter of luck

I put the broiler on for the last 2 minutes only, so that it gets a little heat on top.

Well, when I did it with an 8600GTS, I set it to about 200º for 10 minutes, but I got scared and left it for only 6, and it worked.

I wouldn't know how to leave the GTS at point xD but I can tell you that a Spanish speaker usually says "other side", if you say "banda" the most likely thing is that they think of football :risitas:
