If it is clear that in the vineyard of the Lord you find everything... And some in order to get an unusual benefit... do everything

Well I don't know about the price of the Giga of storage, but it's definitely a good deal.:ugly:
Best regards

15 Tb storing practically the same thing tens of times. And here I am juggling to fit everything on my disks…

Left-handed people, left-handed people everywhere…

Suffice it to say that I've reduced the monthly bill by around 60% I think that tells you everything
Although I know I won't get much out of it, at least I'll have the satisfaction of a job well done :wall: -
what a mess they had set up there… the only thing that comes to mind is... LOFH!

Zenutrios everywhere. Impressive demonstration of workplace apathy.

if I told you… I have a few of those (haven't told you about the one where I was asked if CentOS ran under Windows?)
I've transformed 6 servers and 4 disk cabinets (more than half a rack) into 2 servers, one with a public IP and outside the network and another with a bunch of virtual machines (and because my 'cousins' wouldn't let me put a virtual machine in the DMZ), another €1000 or so saved per month...
When I finish this month I'll put up the October and November invoices so you can compare xDD -
Well, they could thank you for it... in these times, lowering the bills of fixed expenses by almost €1500... Damn.
And I who am satisfied with lowering the mobile expenses from 200 to 100 €

Although I know that I won't get much out of it, at least I will have the satisfaction of a job well done :wall:300 gigabytes a day since 2009 comes to about 400 terabytes? That on Amazon must cost about 50,000€ per month?
Count count…
-

-
You're making me doubt and now I don't have the data in front of me, but it was just over 1000 snapshots and if I remember correctly it comes out to about 0.10€/GB, so you're missing a zero

30010000,10 comes out to 30000€ a month. Either I'm missing a couple of coffees, or my calculations are wrong.

I am beginning to understand the subtle difference between Macroeconomics and micro/my economy
Best regards -
30010000,10 gives me €30,000 a month. Either I need a couple more coffees, or my math is wrong.
okay, I understand now. Like the previous owner of the service, for 9 months he hadn't paid Amazon, so in order not to (overly) inflate an invoice that they wouldn't collect otherwise, they only billed the first 16TB, the rest went to Amazon's 'cold-storage' (Glacier) where you pay $0.01/GB in exchange for having access under request and not under demand, plus they didn't even bill it
@Franziskaner:I'm starting to understand the subtle difference between Macroeconomics and micro/my economy
Regardswell, I'm sorry to tell you that this is still microeconomics xDD. The day they fire me, I'll tell you about some good movies xDD
-
I think macroeconomics starts from 10 zeros XD, let's hope they don't kick you out, Packo, but you can count the movies XD

for people who seem, as is the case, to "not care about paying" until you've solved it from 30,000 to 50,000 euros, for me that's macroeconomics, another thing entirely is what they pay you :eoh:
greetings -
for example a button
September invoice
October invoice (here I already touched it at the end of the month)
November invoice to this day

The company you work for must already be a mess for no one to have questioned the reason for that overspending.

You know what's funny? These invoices are for a web service from a startup that we've 'bought' that coincidentally has been in bankruptcy proceedings for the past 9 months. Of course, if they've done everything the same way, I'm not surprised at all by the financial situation…
