NVIDIA GTX 700 Series

That doesn't sound coherent at all to me, if it's true that with one generation they will release 2 but more stretched than chewing gum, I will feel hatred for the GK104, it won't see a euro from me until it does something decent and at a decent price, that's indecent. I doubt that a 680 will get a 25 or 30% boost, they don't believe it themselves, nor intelligent alignment or anything like that doesn't convince me and the 770 is a 680 according to that, besides if they lower the price of the 600 series, let's see who wants the 700. -
Well, it wouldn't surprise me, I even read that nVidia was considering skipping 20nn and waiting for 14nn, it could be that they release these "refrescos" in the meantime.

It's strange that they would skip 20nm, because 14nm would take quite a while, if they release that it's because they think they'll release something after AMD releases their series.
If that's true, I see the move clearly, nVidia releases a 680 with OC maybe a better process, or changes transistors like in the 560 ti compared to the GF104 and competes in performance/price more vram with AMD, they would no longer have less vram and call them 770 which is what they should have been from the beginning even 760Ti, the latter already has 256bits and wouldn't have the flaw of the 660ti of not taking advantage of the 2GB well. But I'm sure that when they can manufacture in 20nm they will have to do it, the ones that are maybe 14nm will be the next generation or new architecture.

AMD confirmed that its new generation of graphics cards, the AMD Radeon HD 8000 Series, will not arrive in the coming months, and its arrival is expected by the end of the year, at the very least.
After learning that AMD will not be launching its new generation of graphics soon, we now have new information that places the launch of Nvidia's GeForce 700 Series in 2014.It should be clarified that the GTX Titans do not belong to Nvidia's new 700 series, some information refers to these graphics as GeForce GTX 780, but it should be clarified that none of them is the GTX 780.

Those rumors are older than these ;D. Who knows, that said, the Maxwells that I know of are still scheduled for next year, but if they release a full series now I don't think they'll release Maxwell until, at least, a year after the GeForce GTX700, because they have said that the 20nm doesn't give them what they want. So perhaps they let AMD release their Volcanic Islands in the "debut" of the 20nm, and Nvidia releases Maxwell when the process is more polished and with reasonable prices.

That news is already old, I think it's possible that they will release something because they will continue with the same thing and in a year something must improve the process to be able to release something a little better, more Nvidia that has low consumption.
because if they don't release anything easy that sales of GK104 will drop, unless they lower them a lot, but I think it's possible that they will release something with more Vram and a little cheaper, the 770 or 760Ti would sell better, because I don't think they sell many 660ti anymore.saludos

The gtx 780 doesn't look bad. If it doesn't have OC capping or is not limited by the bus (which it doesn't seem to be) it can be very very interesting.
-
as long as the price is reasonable, of course, but if it finally has 5gb of vram as they say, it could be anything but affordable, the $499 that they say it could be worth, I really doubt it

As far as I know AMD will release its HD8000, but these are not new gpus, but a rebranding of the existing ones. Certainly what AMD has said is that there is no new architecture during 2013, with a lot of luck something at the end of the year, but during the rest of the year, nothing at all.
-
That is, except for the 780, which will be a Titan light, and may be worth something,…except for the price difference, which will be squeezed again, the rest, just like AMD is going to do, will be the same as now with makeup,…stretching the gum, so to speak,…

AMD is known to be largely an OEM product and aimed at "selling" the same thing but with a more attractive name, the specs talk about models that are totally equivalent to the current ones.
From NVIDIA, however, it is not known what possible novelties they bring, it is known that the GK104 will be used but it is not clear if it will be a well-differentiated version of the current one or not, since it is assumed that the "new" products will be different from the current models in frequencies and possibly VRAM size. This would stop being confusing if it were clearly stated whether or not it is a redesign of the GK104, the one mentioned a long time ago as GK114, or not. The name does not imply this but rumors talk about a version of the GK104 somewhat more refined, with more frequency potential, or at least with higher frequencies in the products to be released under the "700" range.
We will have to wait to see what is true in this, but in principle, we should not have to wait long, it is assumed (if I am still in the land of "and ifs") that these products will be shown from mid-May to the end of May or beginning of June. So in a few weeks, the doubts about whether it is a product that is somewhat more adjusted or with a differentiation, or if it is a simple rebranding, will begin to clear up.

If they say they could have 25% more boots they will have to readjust it and even then it's hard to believe they will reach that 25% more, they would already be going to frequencies that are too high.
But the same thing, in the end they might not even call it GK104, I bet more on GK114 and if it really is the 104 I see little more boost frequency.

I would take that percentage with a grain of salt. "Maybe" if this theoretically more refined version of the GK104 is basically a GK114 (if it doesn't bring functional changes, let's say that maybe yes changes that allow increasing its frequencies).
But anyway, see before believing.

If I don't believe the rumors, I find it hard to believe that they continue to call it 104 and more that they have 25% more boots, it's that to continue with GK104 it's better to lower the ones they already have, release more versions with 4gb.
I believe more in a redesign of transistors as Nvidia says and if they redesign it, the normal thing is to put it as a refresh, but until it's official, I don't believe anything.

the bus,….is where they should pull, that the 670, when it is stretched, is when we take it above 7000 of ram,...keeping the 770 and 760 at 256 seems absurd to me,...if in the end it is given,...because, in part, it would be a bit absurd to change a 670 for a 770 of these, to gain a little more OC,...

It would be more than just a little OC, since the GTX 770 would actually be the "continuation" of the GTX 680, not the GTX 670.
The thing about the bus, although I agree that it's noticeable when you push the memory, the truth is that the GK104s defend themselves very well with this bus, although in very forced cases (usually implementing certain bandwidth-hogging features, like many Gaming Evolved games), so moving to a larger bus of, say 384 bits could be a bit exaggerated.
More than anything because the ROP/controller partitions go together, and that would imply a bestial growth of 50% in bandwidth and ROPs, possibly above what the rest of the chip can really do, and a good increase in chip size beyond the improvement in memory controllers.
A possible solution would be the use of 7GT/s chips instead of the current 6 GT/s ones, for example the hynix that are in both frequencies, as long as the 7 GB/s ones are just as playful as the current ones used in the GK104s, they could give very good service to these graphics cards (we would be talking about bandwidths close to those used in 384-bit series cards, already). If they were able to reach higher with OC at 8 GHz, that would serve the new cards well.
Dreaming is free.

If Nvidia's move is any indication, they'll release a slightly improved 680 with 4GB and call it a 770, price it a bit cheaper and they'll have competition against the 7970, the 760ti is a 670 maybe also slightly improved and with 256 bits, these are what they should have been the mid-range if they had released the gk110 or gk100 months ago.
maybe now with the better 28nm process they'll get better frequencies, although I don't believe what they say about 25% boots, they would have to improve the chip and the process a lot, but Nvidia's move is coming, they think they can compete against the 7970 in both performance and price, as well as in memory, I'm referring to the 770, it will no longer lose because it has less vram, besides then they will have to lower the prices of the 680,670 and 660Ti.
The 780 if it's a GK110 I think it's going to be expensive too, they'll price it high.
