Internal connections motherboard z170-K and desktop PC assembly

Wow, but even if I don't bring it, a speaker, buzzer, speaker or whatever you want to call it costs a whopping 2 €. :wall:
And about the fans, there's nothing on that box, there are systems that take one cable to molex and another to the fan, so you have to work it out, if I were a fortune teller I swear the computer would be very different from the one I signed. ;D

It sounds to me that the last tower I assembled (years ago), the speaker came with the motherboard and the tower didn't have one, which I found strange.
The speaker looks like this Image -
Well this afternoon I was looking to buy the speaker like crazy.
There is none. They don't have it. Not in the main electronics store nor in two other well-known stores.
In the big malls they surely don't have it.Do you really need it? I think it's equivalent to the LED light show or light codes...
I bought a DVD drive because the one from the previous computer is not usable because the connector was an IDE cable and the Z170-K does not have an IDE connector.
Does anyone know how many SATA ports my motherboard has?
I've messed up with the SATAEXPRESS ports. I think I have six SATA 6.0 Gb/s and one SATA Express. What exactly is the M.2 connector for?
In simple words please, because I don't understand the wiki article.
I'm cleaning the previous power supply which is quite powerful and new according to what they told me at the service center.
I need to clarify about the SATA ports
Do I have SATA 3 or are they superior? Is a SATA 6 Gb/s the same as a SATA 6?
They're telling me that I have to connect the SSD to at least a SATA 3... -

The speaker looks like this ImageIn my case the motherboard didn't come with it. And the case didn't either. After checking properly.
As I said above maybe I don't need it.
And I can see errors with the light codes equivalent to the audio codes.
Which isn't that it gives me lights….. -
usb 3.0 have a different connector…. you have to plug them into connector 5 (usb3_12)
The thing with the speaker… it will be the first case I see that doesn’t have one. (speaker, so you understand)
Really… you don’t have a clue about building a PC and you’re getting into this mess? ¬¬¬¬
I find that strange
Regarding
Don’t make me google!!!!!
I’m a forum member and I like you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I get the impression that you don’t want to learn… I don’t care, but I think your attitude is a mistake
The bad thing isn’t not knowing. The bad thing is not wanting to knowOf course I get into these messes. And I learn little by little. But from you!!!!!!!!!!!. That’s why I come to the forum instead of googling. I believe in something called didactic inference or that people transmit things to each other.
I despise google and I like you more.
That doesn’t mean that if I need to, I won’t look something up on google. We’re human for a reason and that google of all things is a robot or machine.

A fellow user posted above:
"The casing has a fan speed selector. With three positions. And I have about four connectors at the output of that selector. I imagine it's not convenient to connect the fans connected to the board (3) through there.
You can connect them to a branch of the power supply. In fact, for anything other than the CPU fan, it is recommended."
Does this mean that it is better to connect the other two fans marked on the board instead of to the board to a branch of the power supply and then to the speed controller?
I think the fans connected to the board have the advantage of controlling their rotation speed through software...

Un servicio de asistencia técnica…

mmmm. No me pongas al pirata que me da miedo. Sobre todo los de pata palo.
Pues sí, un SAT Hasta por donde yo vivo hay algunos bien buenos. -
Well. To contrast criteria with the experts
I have four sata 3 and one sataexpress
or I have:
six sata 3.
What I think I don't have is six sata 3 and one sataexpress. That is, you either use the sataexpress or you split it into two sata 3….
Am I right or am I being deceived which is a shame?
<:(

…ok, I made a mistake.

Anyway, it was worth a try.

The SATA ports are in the motherboard manual, which, surprisingly, has a section in SPANISH and they explain it 45 times better than wikipedia and "only" 5 times better than us
And in case you don't find that section, on the ASUS website they have a BEAUTIFUL diagram about various connectors of the aforementioned motherboard: https://www.asus.com/es/Motherboards/Z170-K/
Best regards!

Basic assembly working.
The doubt of the six SATA 3 ports or four SATA 3 ports and one SATAEXPRESS persists. I think using the sata express invalidates the two sata 3 in the same socket or group.
The speaker cannot be found in the market. It would have to be taken from an old or broken computer.
I proceed to install the operating system which will be windows 8.1, 64 bit, in Spanish.

Strong build with the row of lights that flashes amber yellow at the back of the plate. But I think it's simply because it's a gamer plate. Also one of the fans comes with blue led light... -
The case speaker is something that has almost become history, it was used for quick diagnosis when the board wouldn't start or show a signal. The problem is that since you don't seem to be interested in reading the board manual, which although it looks like it's not a paperweight, you wouldn't know how to interpret the beeps either, so I honestly wouldn't worry about the "speaker".
Saludos and good luck with the build.

The manual was read. And the computer is already built and working.
As for the board's sound codes, it's on good internet pages. As for the speaker, here in the square it's very difficult to get it. But you'll just have to use the visual codes. As you probably haven't read the manual for my board, you'll know that they're not there. But you can find them on the internet.
Keep well and thanks for your valuable help.

It's good reading from WC lol but no, I don't think I've read yours in particular, the last ones I looked at I think came with, it will depend on the brand. If you're really interested you have them on aliexpress for a few cents, free shipping.Of all of them since you've started looking on the internet, you're sure to also find them in some store that ships from your country.
I'm glad you were able to put it all together

Well, finishing installing the software... which is endless!!!!!!!
And I want to connect three monitors directly to the board, but there are problems...
I'll tell you later.
In the BIOS I don't remember seeing anything.
Sometimes all three turn on, then they blink and two remain.I connected: first a VGA
Then I connected a DVI
So far so goodThen I connected an HDMI and pluf
the HDMI worked fine, the VGA continued, but the DVI only turns on sometimes. In the end it's like it's running out of fuel and I've disconnected it so that the hardware doesn't suffer.
Investigate well and see the solution.
I have two Nvidia graphics cards parked: one with 512 MB three outputs, and another with 1 GB three outputs. The board has capacity for three outputs with 1 GB memory. Which apparently gets from the 32 GB of RAM I installed.
https://www.asus.com/es/Motherboards/Z170-K/HelpDesk_Manual/
I'll leave you the manual in case you want to take a look.
I was intrigued by this topic and even had a chat with a lady from Asus who I thought I understood what I put above.
Thanks for responding

I guess that's something to do with the Intel graphics adapter drivers, try installing, updating, or deleting them (so that Windows detects them automatically). But the motherboard won't be affected by connecting multiple monitors. It's a silly thing, but don't forget to check separately that the cables are okay.
Regards.

Thanks Bm4n
I have parked the theme configuring the rest of the pc.
Now I was with the network and I got confused. But we will return to this topic.
Even for four monitors...
