The budget is 200-300€. I'm going to use it for the four typical nonsense things. I don't think I'll play anything demanding but I want it to respond quickly. A good screen is essential (definitely IPS) and if it can be QHD, better.

I don't understand these gadgets. A while ago I bought one of the very cheap ones to see if it would be useful for anything, but it was so slow that I barely used it.

I've seen the following (the list will be expanded):

Model Price Size Screen Battery Ram Flash Camera (F,T) Observations Amazon
      Samsung Galaxy Tab A 209 10.1 1920x1080 7300 2 16 8, 2 Link
      Huawei Mediapad M3 Lite 10 235.99 10.1 1920x1080 ips 6600 3 32 8, 8 Link
      Lenovo Yoga Tab3 Plus 329 10.1 2560x1600 ips 9300 3 32 Link
      Trekstor SurfTab theatre 13.3 221.47 13.3 1920x1080 ips 10000 2 16 2, 0.3 x86 Link
      ODYS Fusion Win 12 Pro 269.72 11.6 1920x1080 4 32 2, 2 German keyboard Link
      Archos 133 Flip Tablet 231.38 13.3 1920x1080 2 32 French keyboard Link
      Archos 133 Oxygen 64GB 13.3'' 183 13.3 1920x1080 ips 10000 2 64 5, 2 Xtremmedia
      Bq Aquaris M10 10.1" 16GB 243 10.1 1920x1080 ips 7280 2 16 8, 5 PCComponentes
      Chuwi Hi12 250 10.1 2160x1440 ips 11000 4 64 5, 2 Many complaints with the battery and other problems. Poor touchpad Link

The last two are Windows 10 convertibles, which doesn't really convince me because for that I'll buy a good convertible that also serves as a laptop.

      I have two favorites:

      · The Lenovo Yoga Tab3 Plus that until a couple of days ago was discounted to 250€, but the offer has ended. It has a lot of RAM and storage and the screen is QHD. If in the next few days it doesn't go back on sale, this option will be discarded.

      · The Trekstor 13.3-inch. It has a 13.3" FHD IPS screen. Plus it's x86 so it's possible that when I get bored of it, I can "play" by installing Linux and things like that. I don't like its cameras and the fact that the processor might not be too fast. Also, it doesn't seem to be a very widespread brand or model so there won't be much support out there.

Thanks and may the Three Kings be generous with your Mercedes.

        Hello,

I'm not very familiar with these gadgets either, although less than a month ago I got one second-hand basically to read books in PDF. I have here the instrument in question.

Among the features you have described, I came across this model, which I don't know if it will have many drawbacks for you, but I find it interesting for the price range it is in.

In general, it has a quad core up to 1.5 GHz, 2Gb of RAM, 16Gb of internal memory, 10.1” Full HD 1920x1200 IPS screen, 8 and 5 MP cameras, 7280 mAh battery and Android 5.1.

        Best regards!

@sylver No complaints. The hardware in general is typical in that price range but has (apparently) good cameras. I'll keep it in mind.

I also add the Archos 133 Oxygen 64GB 13.3'' which is under 200€ but is very tempting, so much so that it makes me somewhat distrustful.

My experience with Archos has not been very good: they work well until one day they no longer turn on.

Technically, BQ has a bit more prestige in general than Archos, which, although many tablets from that brand are seen in homes, I have also found them in abundance on websites selling second-hand items with the typical ad that they no longer turn on or that something is not working, along the lines of what @whoololon comments. But that is also not indicative of anything, be it what it may, it should last at least two years, which is what the warranty requires.

              ¡Saludos!

Thanks to both of you for the advice. I'll buy it next week. Now I'm torn between choosing a reliable brand or another not so reliable one. Although they have a two-year warranty, the truth is that I have read some pretty outlandish things (especially about the Chuwi Hi12) that I would like not to experience. I rule out convertibles from now on and add a dual-boot tablet.

                In order of preference:

                Reliable models

                1. Lenovo Yoga Tab3 Plus (for the screen)
                2. Huawei Mediapad M3 Lite 10 (for the RAM and Flash)
                3. Bq Aquaris M10 10.1" 16GB (For the rear camera)
                4. Samsung Galaxy Tab A (to fill out the list a bit)

                Not so reliable models

                1. Chuwi Hi12 (for the screen, the RAM, the dual boot of Android/Windows 10 and the possibility of installing the Linux x86 I want).
                2. Archos 133 Oxygen 64GB 13.3'' (tied with the previous one, for a price that is too good, the 13.3" screen and the flash)
                3. Trekstor SurfTab theatre 13.3 (for the 13.3" screen and because it seems to fail less than the previous two).

Apart from this list, what's out there seems to repeat quite a lot and the truth is that with the price restriction I don't expect to find anything else especially interesting. In fact, I've checked stretching the price a bit to less than 400€ and I haven't found anything special either.

@cobito At least you have already narrowed down the options, so it looks like it will be either the Huawei Mediapad M3 or the Bq Aquaris M10. At this point it's like everything in life... make a decision and don't look back! ? I hope the one you choose turns out to be good and that you present it here with a mini-review or something similar.

                  Best regards!
