From today, the price comparison tool from Hardlimit is available; a portal where you can find the hardware we are looking for along with the prices of different stores. You can access it through comparador.hardlimit.com.

@tecnho Perfect. If you see any bug or something weird, feel free to comment. And the first category of hardware you miss, comment it and it will be the next one to be added.

For a few days now, sponsored links from Amazon have been displayed. If you are going to buy something from there and you do it through the platform, you will be contributing without an additional cost to you.

Today I looked at this for the first time, and it seems like a very good idea with just one "BUT".
I think I'm not the only one who usually goes straight to PCCOMPONENTES to make a PC budget, mostly because of the configurator they have, although there are things to improve (like the RAM issue).

If we could make this configurator "smart" I think it would be used a lot more and many people would come to the website just for that, having a powerful PC configurator where you can compare prices on several websites and see the evolution of the same.

Without a doubt, if it were done this way, it would personally take me away from always going to make the first budget at pccomponentes and I think it would bring many visits to the website and it would also be a focus of attention for potential sponsors, etc...

Other interesting options would be something like, once the components are chosen, a couple of options like "search for better prices" and "search for the cheapest store", where the first one would give you the best prices for each component, even if they were on different websites, and the other that would give you the best price for the entire budget, since this way it wouldn't affect that the websites use key components like the CPU or GRAPHICS to put it at the best possible price, then they recover it in the "less showy".

Obviously these are suggestions and ideas and I understand the complexity of implementing them, but there they are ?

I believe I'm not the only one who usually goes straight to PCCOMPONENTES to make a PC budget, mostly because of the configurator they have, although there are things to improve (like the RAM issue).

If we could make this configurator "intelligent", I think it would be used a lot more and many people would come to the website just for that, having a powerful PC configurator where you can compare prices on several websites and see the evolution of the same.

Obviously these are suggestions and ideas and I understand the complexity of implementing them, but I leave them here ?

By "intelligent", you mean that, for example, once the CPU is selected, you could only select compatible motherboards? That would be good, for example, a previous template with all the components of a computer on the left and that next to each component there would be a dropdown list with the list of components of that category.

The part about searching for the best prices for the selected list I suppose is easy, but the entire budget I imagine is complicated because shipping costs come into play, maybe the price differences are covered by buying from the same place even if some component is cheaper in another store.

P.D.: Now I see that this is what the PC configurator of PCCOMPONENTES does, it's clear that at least you would have to do the same to convince you (for example) to use the comparator. Another radical option (if Cobito can't make a similar configurator) would be to allow importing a link from the PCCOMPONENTES configurator and the comparator would check if there are cheaper components in other stores than PCCOMPONENTES itself

@rul3s I take note of the suggestion. It should not be too complicated when you have the characteristics of all the hardware.

Another radical option (if Cobito can't work on a similar configurator) would be to allow importing a link from the pccomponentes configurator and the comparator would check if there are cheaper components in other stores than pccomponentes itself

Exactly, mainly the compatibility of CPU-MOTHERBOARD-RAM, first mark a socket and then only allow you to select compatible components with that socket.
The rest is just making a set of dropdowns and ready.
It seems like a trifle, but at least for me to make budgets it makes me go to that website to make the first one and already by inertia I usually buy the material there if it's for other people, I don't worry too much about it.

Great idea guys! It really is great. I agree with the "PC Components style" configurator theme. I think most of us go there first and then check out sites like Alternate, Xtremmedia, and Aussar (which I haven't seen in the comparator).
As for ideas, I've been thinking a bit and for example if one looks at the motherboards, they see all of them, maybe it would be good to add filters in case you only want to see a particular brand and not have to see the rest, also that you can sort alphabetically by brand and then by model (now it's one or the other). Another point would be to go from the most general to the detail, if you enter processors that you see "Intel or AMD", then the socket and so on. For example, in memories you can choose between DDR3, DDR4 types and then the brand... or that there is also by brand first... I think it could be cleaner and easier to see.
I still haven't bought the computer that you have so kindly helped me put together, but surely now I can pay a couple of bucks less!
                      Thank you very much!

@desvest I take note of the filter. I've been quite busy for a couple of weeks. Let's see when I can find some time and I'll get to work on everything.

Sponsored links have been added from PCComponentes and for all Amazon components and work has begun on component filters although nothing has been published about the latter yet.

This means that when you buy something through the comparator, you will be contributing.
