14th Edition: What did you play in 2020?
-
I think this is the first year that I haven't been hooked by any game since forever. My list is as follows:
: I don't know if I've become very clumsy but I found the game quite difficult. All the time in trial and error and having to start from scratch. : Honestly, this was a huge disappointment. It's one of those games that it's better to keep in memory than to replay. : I didn't have fun but it's one of the games I've spent the most time on. : I was going extremely slow on the retro PC. I bought a memory module which was what it needed but, being the fool that I am, the one I ordered was SDR instead of EDO (the mistake I suppose came from the fact that physically, both modules are identical). : Here I played a full game but the beating I got from the AI was legendary. It's clear that I'm rusty. : I played three or four missions. I had never played it before and in general, it reminds me in all aspects of 2.OpenTTD: It's one of those games that I have installed everywhere for emergencies. I've played some games this year. It's probably the one I've spent the most hours on.

Today I was thinking about whether to comment on how little I've played this year, and knowing that 99% is always retro, I was going to keep quiet so that you wouldn't send me to the loony bin... Thanks for reminding me that I'm not alone, mayor

Regarding Need for Speed II, to relive experiences I always recommend III, which although years pass it still remains a great experience. For its time it was a hit.
I also played Broken Sword II this year and I had a great time. Wonderful memories, that one hit me hard in my childhood.
Age of Empires has always had a very powerful AI, especially on advanced difficulty levels. But even so, once you train a little it ends up being more accessible than the AI of AoE II HD Edition, which from 4 rivals becomes practically impossible at maximum difficulty.
Saludos!

I'll send you my list of Tomb Raider levels later hahahaBest regards!!
P.D: Happy Three Kings Day!!
Thanks for keeping me company in this madness, friend. It's so important to be in the right place
Well, I'm actually playing levels created by Tomb Raider authors, which gave me the itch when I remembered that in these threads you used to post the most interesting ones at the end of each year, so here I am, trying (and finishing) the ones that catch my attention the most. Right now I'm playing one from the Create a Classic of 2019 that I loved at first sight and it's not disappointing at all: In The Highlands
A great revival of the first level of TRIII: Lost Artifact.I look forward to your recommendations, I already have a few finished

Cheers and happy Three Kings Day!!
-
@Sylver I remember that level!! I got stuck a few times, lol. In fact, I left something behind and had to redo the entire route from almost the beginning, wow what an odyssey.
Yes, when I have time and come back next week, I'll check what I played. Now I'm playing the Christmas calendar levels (I play them religiously every year
) but I haven't played author levels for a while. While I'm playing FC3, I'm already at about 32 hours and I'm having a great time even though the game is from 2011-2012 lol.
Hugs!!!

It seems that some of you have decided to do a revival in 2020! Once I finish games I usually don't play them again. In 2019 I didn't play much because I was busy with changes of country and job, but in 2020 I've been more relaxed and I've finished some games that I had pending and some other newer ones. Looking at steam I see that I've played:
- Nier Automata: meh, I only saw one of the endings. It didn't convince me as an FPS but good soundtrack
- Titan Fall 2: short and trained campaign, but I saw it a bit weak
- Borderlands 3: I'm a fan of the saga so I liked it a lot, like the previous ones.
- Red Dead Redemption: It took me a while but I finished it a few weeks ago. A bit slow but 100h of entertainment seem like a good investment

- Gears 5: the first Gears I've played, it left me a bit cold
- Gris: a very beautiful and careful platform game, similar to Jounery. It seems like you're playing in a watercolor. I think it's from a Spanish studio
- The Outer Worlds: I finished it last weekend. Worthy successor to Fall Out New Vegas, entertaining and good direction for Obsidian: I look forward to the future "Avowed"
- Control: one of the best I've played lately. I love Remedy games in general and I'm a big fan of Max Payne (even the 3rd), I loved this game
In the pipeline I've left:
- Greedfall, which I was tempted to play but I'm lazy to play it because I don't think it's that good (opinions?)
- Metro Exodus: I didn't play the first Metro and I'm not a super fan of horror games, so in the end I didn't play it despite having it on the wishlist
This year I see it a bit empty. I was looking forward to cyberpunk but given the debacle I'm going to wait for the GOTY edition, when it's more polished and with a couple of DLCs

Hugs!

Well, it's my turn!!
Well, this year I ended up playing more hours than I thought... at least until I started going through the list and saw that if I gave it a few hours jajaja:JANUARY

LEVEL18-AgentXP-CAC2019-VacationOfTheTombRaider(AgentXP is a really good author, I recommend his levels).Train Valley: I would play it about 8 hours, but it ended up overwhelming me jajaja. I imagine that the anxiety of the quarantine made me more "sensitive".
MAY
Firewatch: A very original game that I enjoyed, although it's short... about 5-6 hours.
Angel of Darkness (Tomb Raider 6). Despite being one of the Tomb Raiders that I like the least, I felt like playing it again since the first time was in 2004-2005.**More Tomb Raider levels!!. I had to finally finish the Back to basic 2015:
BtB2015_15_TheGreekFiles.
BtB2015_16_ Stairway to Hell

BtB2015_25_TheTaleOfThreeBrothers
**Finally finished!!!SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER
Carmageddon: Max Damage: I had a great time, I wish I had played it in March-April, to relieve stress!!#I also played a few hours on these games:
Age of Empires III.
Civilization V.
The Hunter Classic.NOVEMBER-DECEMBER.
FAR CRY 3(FINISHED IN JANUARY!!)
TR-Navidad(Advent Calendar).
Well, I should also add these games that I messed around with when I did the Atlhon XP tests:
GTA 3, VC and SA.
Doom 3
Far Cry 1
Half Life 2
Max Payne 1 and 2Then, I should add that I played a few hours of Far Cry 2, which I have pending to see if I play it again this year.
Multi:
*Dead by daylight
*World War Z
*World of Tanks: But only until June, since then I've taken a long break after 7 years and more than 20,000 battles.
*World of Warships.Well, in conclusion... it's noticeable that having less social life and having been on ERTE for 9 months (although it was 5 without any activity) has an impact.
Regards!!

@Fassou I've realized that the links from 2007 to 2014 don't work!
For example, I've rescued the link from 2007: https://foro.hardlimit.com/topic/48874/tus-juegos-del-2007/20.Then I look for the others

Great, you're an artist my friend

P.D: I finally played and finished Far Cry 3 jajaja

Mythical man! Because it was a horrible year and I had a lot of free time, I didn't play much either.
Death Stranding - I'm not sure if I played it at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, but what a great game ★★★★★
Detroit: Become Human - It starts slow but it's a story worth it ★★★★★
Resident Evil 3 - Excellent remaster ★★★★★
Genshin Impact - Very good free to play with a touch of Zelda Breath of the wild
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - I had many doubts about whether I would like it, because I thought the Force Unleash games were very bad, and although not as good as Jedi Knight, it's very entertaining ★★★★✧
Age of Empires III Definitive Edition - Very well remastered, the one I had played the least originally and I enjoyed playing it again ★★★★★
Hades - Fantastic roguelike ★★★★★
Kentucky Route Zero - It looks very good, but I'm just starting@cobito said in 14th Edition: What did you play in 2020?:
: Here I played a full game but the beating I got from the AI was legendary. It's clear that I'm rusty.
You're not the only one, jajaja, the AI of 1 is absurdly efficient.

I totally agree.

Yes, it's super nice to play and the story is great.
Anyway, it was a pleasure to read you all, greetings to everyone!

@Bm4n what a joy to read you!! I'm glad to hear that this thread is mythical, I was afraid that over the years you would get tired jajaja. Although hey if you get bored next year we'll stop creating it

Interesting your comments and impressions, thanks mate

Of course we have to keep the tradition!, the thing is that we are getting old, in 2019 I played very little because there's not as much time. And this 2020 I don't know what's wrong with me but most of what comes out seems unbearable jajaja, but well if you search you still find some gems to play. And if you notice many of the best games lately are remasters, they're running out of ideas!
Speaking of which I still have the Final Fantasy VII Remake pending... Anyway I'm glad to see that you're still around, lots of encouragement for this year
-
@Bm4n I take note of the Genshin Impact you mention. I haven't had the opportunity to play Zelda BotW, but I just finished Immortals Fenyx Rising and I really liked it: 40 very entertaining hours, so much so that I bought the season pass. I recommend it to you if you're craving BotW
Abz!
P -
@kalevala I only say that there is a very potable corsaria way to play the entire WiiU catalog, including BOTW, with resolution improvements, textures...
As you can't link to emulation topics I'll just say CEMU + Wii U USB Helper.
-
@kynes had I missed this response? Looking for it now

@_Neptunno_ when will the "what did you play in 2021" edition be released? it's about time, right?hugs!
