For now I've found this one, which looks good within what I'm looking for:
Artic Freezer i13 X
https://www.amazon.es/dp/B088NP4H4L?tag=profesionalre-21&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1Good fan, the 12 cm model has one more pipe, it depends on the case you want to use and that "future" i7.
BBB would be 30€?
The case is the one I told @Sylver, and yes, initially around that price of 30€.
I imagine that with the case I put maybe a tower cooler with a 12cm fan might be a bit tight.
Thanks to both of you!
-
@yorus In that one the 12 doesn't fit anymore, according to store data.
If it's not for oc, at that height and that price I wouldn't even look anymore, only if you wanted more pipes and a fan it would have to be either low profile which would be more expensive, or with a wider tower that can accommodate other interesting 12 models, but if not that one is very good in its category in my opinion.
By the way, the tacens link you posted is not the official page, watch out.

Hello everyone!
I've got myself a small hardware pack that includes the following:
- i3-4170
- MicroATX Gygabyte motherboard
- 8Gb of RAM
- Asus GT 740 graphics card
- DVD burner
- Card reader
I'm just missing a microATX case (tower type), the power supply (I have a SilverStone SST-ST40F-ES230 - Strider Essential Series in my cart) and I want to look for an economical, silent and efficient cooler for that micro or even for a future i7, but I doubt I'll put it in.
What is the best cooler at the moment without being a huge monster?

I think I will end up getting the one posted by @Sylver, the Cooler Master that is also 92mm, cheaper and good reviews.
I can't find another page, maybe they put it that way because the basic range is usually Tacens Anima.

I like the one you're suggesting better, but I want something halfway between old and new, with an optical drive and card reader, things I already have.
-
@yorus you are old

Not long ago a family member asked me if I had a DVD drive in my collection of gadgets.
I was thinking...
Why in the world would he want that?
Well, simply because he has the Ubuntu distro collection on CDs.
In a way I understand you.
But I still can't see it.
The truth is.
Some of us have gone through the five-quarter discs, floppy disks and so on.
Nowadays with USB / pendrive it's more than enough.
And the card readers...
I have the one from the digital camera via USB and little else.
The rest is bluetooth.
Best regards -
-
@clipper I know people who have boxes of cds.... the library of Alexandria V2, you know, from before encarta came out, and they won't throw them away even if you give them a fully equipped nas.
-
@defaultuser man...
I have the far cry edition on CD (the first one) as well as all the stalkers (I'm missing one because of the typical error... Leaving them
)
But I don't plan to set up a DVD/CD player

@clipper I have already ordered the Tacens from a friend from where I used to work, with the employee discount included, hehe.
And indeed, I am already of an age and I enjoy old gadgets as much as new ones. I love retro. Besides, since I have a case of that size, why not take advantage of it. Keep in mind that my main computer is a Deskmini A300 with a Ryzen 5 3400G, so for me a microATX is a lot of space that needs to be taken advantage of

The first thing I want to try is to put XP on it, although Hasswell doesn't support it out of the box, but I know of some cases where they have managed to do it. After that, I will put Linux Mint and Windows 10 or 11 for normal things.
-
@yorus Very well done, retrocacharreo is the real thing.
By the way, if you feel like it when you have everything ready, share some pics with us

Of the XP if you manage to install it too, it would be very interesting
Best regards!

If you want a front panel with fan regulation and probes, let me know. And I'll clean out the storage room.

That's done. Let's see if we can get back to some good habits, both on the forum and on my two blogs. Where I do put things often is on my Mastodon account on the Hardlimit instance

@yorus
It is this:
https://www.quietpc.com/kama-meter
If I remember correctly, I have it with its box and all the accessories.
Regards -
@clipper Un Kama Meter?
"But Doc how are we going to get back to our time?"
"Don't worry Marty the flux capacitor still works, we can go back to the 90s"
Sorry I couldn't help it lol, it's going to be retro undeniably just because of the kama. -
@defaultuser I suppose we have seen everything from cheap potentiometers plugged into a 5 1/4 inch bay to touch screens.
How time flies...

@yorus Let's go with a toaster.

@yorus That goes with toaster let's go.

Yes, for old original games and occasionally to watch some DVD from the many that my father has.
