Guide to setting up a server on Debian 12 Bookworm
-
This thread is an index of the guide where the different subsections are linked.
NOTE 1: Each section is divided into two categories: procedure/summary and explanation. If all you need is a reminder and/or copy&paste the lines in the console to perform a configuration quickly, you can follow the steps of the procedure in order. If on the contrary you are not familiar with the process, you need to know the meaning of some step or parameter or you are simply interested in knowing exactly what you are doing, you can read the explanation.
NOTE 2: Each section is independent of the rest. If it is necessary to perform some extra operation, it will be referred to the section where it is explained.
NOTE 3: Services only need to be installed once. If in several subsections it is asked to install some service that has already been installed previously, you can skip that step.
