Dead graphics? :( XFX 8800GTS 320
-
Have you checked the thermal paste on the GPU?
This happened to me on my 8800 GT (G92) that was malfunctioning, and after changing the paste, the problem was fixed.
-
Well, one thing is a drop in performance and another is the appearance of artifacts, that would be a poorly soldered capacitor or something like that.
Best regards
-
It would be something badly welded if. But for now it's still alive and kicking :d
-
It has happened again :cry:I have been away practically all of August, my mother has been using the PC to check her email and browse a bit. 2 days ago she called me saying that the PC was showing her vertical red lines and that it was freezing. Exactly the same thing that happened to me..
Today I have returned and it has the same symptoms, tomorrow I will reboot for the second time to see how it goes…
Best regards!
-
That's what happens when a mother is left with the PC all summer, they get hooked on Crysis 2 and overheat the graphics :p:p.
Good luck with the second batch.

You went too far… xDD :p:p
Well, I think baking is miraculous and harmful at the same time, so much concentrated heat wouldn't be the same as a 500% overclock with a stock cooler? Well, not exactly because the GPU isn't active, but the heat would somewhat deteriorate the whole package... right? I'm faced with that dilemma, correct me if I've overthought it

Regards

Heat is not good in excess, of course. The condensers and such suffer, in addition to some plastics that can be affected...
But when you can no longer use the graphic in any of the ways and you only have this option left... you do it xD.
Well, gentlemen, I write to you with the graphic baked for the second time :p:risitas::D
Greetings!

Haha I'm glad to see that the famous 8800 is still putting up a fight, they were good, so let's just hope that all this oven consumption is profitable for you XD

Well gentlemen, I write to you with the graphics card baked for the second time :p:risitas::D

That's what I thought... and indeed what can you do if it no longer responds and there is no alternative
to cook it then! xDI am very happy that it has risen from the dead again, that 8800 deserves a place in the hall of fame of graphics cards, it is giving its all

Greetings!

that is a failure in the memories and possibly of some soldering of the same
and the baking causes the solders to make contact and sometimes it turns out more or less well
and it lasts a good season and other times it lasts a short time
it is a matter of luckregards

A question, do you put the broiler (those of you who have ever done it in the oven).
I'm afraid to put it on because I think it's too hot on top, but on the other hand I think that heat only from below won't have the full effect. My oven doesn't have a fan.. xD.
I put the broiler on for the last 2 minutes only, so that it gets a little heat on top.
Best regards!

A question, do you use the gratinador (those who have ever done baking).
I'm afraid to use it because I think it's too much heat on top, but on the other hand I think that heat only from below won't have the full effect. My oven doesn't have a fan.. xD.
I only put the gratinador on for the last 2 minutes, so that it gets a little heat on top.
Best regards!
It looks like a cooking forum, lol.
Well, when I did it with an 8600GTS, I set it to about 200º for 10 minutes, but I got scared and left it for only 6, and it worked.
Best regards!

Question: if you say that what is failing are the welds of the memory modules, wouldn't a touch of a blowtorch be better?
-
I'm afraid to put it because I think it's too hot on top, but on the other hand I think that heat only on the bottom won't do the whole effect. My oven doesn't have a fan.. xD.
I wouldn't know how to leave the GTS at point xD but I can tell you that a Spanish speaker usually says "other side", if you say "banda" the most likely thing is that they think of football :risitas:
Good luck with your baking

This afternoon I'm going to try it with a laptop from a friend whose graphics have crashed… Let's see if I can revive it, it would fix me up for a job.

:risitas::risitas:
Un saludo y felicidades por el horneado.
