Hello everyone.
It seems that finally, enthusiasts are in luck as Nvidia has decided to launch the monstrous GK110 chip for the desktop GeForce range.
Here I put a link in Spanish, the website doesn't matter, since it's simply a translation of the original source which is Techpower and sweeClockers.

Apparently, Nvidia doesn't want to label it as GTX, and has come up with a new name for enthusiast graphics called TITAN. This makes one think, that it's possible that the GTX770 and 780 are derivatives of the current GK104 and their prices will also be similar, and that TITAN is a separate range.
We're talking about a graphics card that may only have a 15% lower performance than the dual GTX 690. That is, a monstrously powerful monogpu that can easily outperform 60-70% of all monogpu graphics cards that exist right now... the bad thing, the price?... equally monstrous... about $899... ah!.. and the relatively close launch... presentation this coming February and estimated sale date March.
With luck, maybe we can do a review of a few of them in this forum..;) not too soon... hehe

And another thing, already to get the most out of a 3 way of 670, I have to put the 3930 at 4.8/4.9. What processor will pull a couple of those??

I hope they release others with GK110 that are more affordable because these are going to cost a fortune, it will be like the 8800 ultra but more expensive.
That's why I hope they can release GTX with GK110, even if it's a bit cut down from a K20, plus 6GB seems like a lot of memory that would make any card more expensive, I'm happy with 3Gb and it should be cheaper, but it would have been good if they had released it when the K20X, so now they could be a bit cheaper.
6GB seems like overkill, maybe it's for TVs or 4K monitors, at 1080p resolution 3Gb is more than enough.
Waiting for reviews to see if these cards show up.

And another thing, to get the most out of a 3 way of 670, I have to set the 3930 to 4.8/4.9. What processor will pull the legs out from under a couple of those??

Those are just as demanding on equipment as the 600 series, they will ask for a fortune if you want to build three, although it seems that the GK110 has a cache that does calculations that used to be done by the CPU, until it comes out we won't see how demanding it is on equipment.
the 670s have a small data bus, a GK110 must have more bandwidth and if it can be increased it will gain a lot more, that's why we have to wait to see what bandwidth they have.
maybe if in the end the 770 series and others are made with GK114 it's possible that they will put in more bus, maybe 384 bits or 320, but NVIDIA usually cuts down what they already have, and that's why I hope they release more with GK110 that is cheaper than redesigning a chip.

What a bargain, I'm doing well with my SLI but one of those would come in very handy to complete the set, let's see how everything turns out, maybe XD.

Yo espero que saquen otras con GK110 mas asequibles por que esas van a costar una pasta,sera como la 8800 ultra pero mas cara.
Por eso espero que pueda sacar GTX con GK110,aunque sea algo mas recortada que un K20,ademas los 6GB me parecen mucha memoria que encareceria cualquier tarjeta, me conformo con 3Gb y deberia ser mas baratas,pero hubiera estado bien que la hubieran lanzado cuando el K20X,asi ahora podrian estar algo mas baratas.
6GB me parece una burrada quiza sirva para televisiones o monitores 4K en resoluciones 1080p con 3GB se va bastante sobrado.
Esperando esa reviews a ver si asoman esas tarjetas.

Esas si son igual de exigentes de equipo que la serie 600 pediran un pepinaco si se quieren montar tres,aunque parece que el GK110 tiene una cache que hace calculos que solia hacer el CPU,hasta que no salga no veremos lo exigente que es de equipo.
las 670 tienen poco bus de datos,un GK110 debe tener mas ancho de banda y si se puede subir ganara mucho mas,por eso falta esperar a ver que ancho de banda tienen.
quiza si al final la serie 770 y demas las hace con GK114 es posible que meta mas bus,quiza 384 bits o 320,pero nvidia lo que suele hacer es recortar lo que ya tiene, y por eso espero que saque mas con GK110 que le sale mas barato que rediseñar un chip.

Es que 6 GB de memoria Ram son totalmente inutiles, y estamos hartos de comprobarlo ya, hasta yo que juego en surround, 6000 x 1080p, con mis 2 GB de las 670 no agoto nunca la vram, ni con 2x AA. Y si te vas a 8x de AA, no tienes potencia grafica para mover eso, lo comprobé con el 4 way de 580.
Igual con estos cañones si mueves un AA 8x en Surround, quien sabe igual lo compruebo y todo…........xD.
Lo del pepinaco está asegurado, mi trio mientras mas escala el procesador mas suben las graficas. Estas serán mas de lo mismo Las Nvidia siempre han necesitado un buen procesador que acompañe esa potencia grafica.
Dentro de poco os dejaré un hilo, para que veais la diferencia. ;).
Vaya trabuco yo voy bien con mi SLI pero una de esas me vendría muy bien para completar el equipo, a ver que tal sale todo puede ser XD.

Desde luego si sale con ese rendimiento será un monstruo de tarjeta, y por lo que veo en todos los sentidos. Si salen a ese precio (cuando el rio suena), pocos tendran el placer de tenerla en sus manos.
Y otra cosa, ya para sacarle todo el rendimiento a un 3 way de 670, tengo que poner el 3930 a 4,8/ 4,9. Que procesador le sacará la chica a un par de esas??

Evidentemente,para quien montamos este tipo de configuraciones,siempre la CPU es el limitante..en este caso no lo vá a ser menos,pero en fin,también es cierto que Kepler chico,las 6XX,al carecer de ancho de banda tiene que ser el resto del equipo quien se las dé,posiblemente esto sea paliado en parte con Titan,ya que ellas por si mismas deben tener un ancho de banda a la altura de su potencia.Pero ya sabes que Nvidia,siempre ha sido mucho mas CPU dependiente que AMD…

The thread I was referring to is this comparison, which although not exclusive to see the performance of the graphics, gives us an idea of what we mean when we say that you need a "big" CPU for the Nvidia graphics to perform well, lol…xD.

What memories... ains, if we're getting older, jeez:llorar::ugly: Haha, the thing with the signature is that deep down I'm a nostalgic, and when I recovered this account I have, I found it, so in honor of that PC, and the good times I had with Far Cry 1, I'll keep it for a while….............xD.Anyway, making a signature doesn't mean it would be very useful for me, in the last 15 days I've built a Rampage IV, an Asrock Extreme 7, and tomorrow a MSI Big Bang Xpower X79 arrives…
How to keep updating the signature..........xD. Let's see if I stay still and make one........xD.

Obviously, for those of us who build this type of configuration, the CPU is always the limiting factor..in this case it won't be any less, but anyway, it's also true that the smaller Kepler, the 6XX series, lacking bandwidth has to be the rest of the equipment that provides it, possibly this will be partially alleviated with the Titan, since they should have bandwidth to match their power. But you know that Nvidia has always been much more CPU dependent than AMD…

As for TITAN. My "sources" have told me that for this month of February they want it to be in stores. But they don't quite understand very well, since those dates are from the Chinese year, and they stop absolutely everything for a week or more..
