Duda Hpet?

Esto es lo que dice intel sobre esta tecnologia,Pero aparte de que casi no entiendo el ingles
Mi placa la de la firma lo trae en modo 32 bits o 64 bits. pero mi duda es lo activo y si lo activo
que pongo 32 bits o 64 bits? Yo uso windows xp pro 32 bits principalmente, pero tambien tengo
instalado el vista 64 bits ultimate
