The fault of it all is Rul3s xDDD
I have developed a spider sense over the years and just by seeing the domain of the web I can see if it's crap or if it can be useful (some still slip through) but in some searches I still go to the second page to find quality info.
The other thing that often works for me is to stop using google. I know it's difficult, but there is life beyond the google monopoly. As a search engine I usually use duckduckgo and only if I can't find something do I use google

    Good:
I read it the other day, and I think it's nonsense. Having software pre-installed in a memory so that it installs itself in a hidden way is an aberration. If someone comes up with the idea of putting malware in that part of the UEFI, we're going to have more than one problem. I would prefer that they gave me a pendrive with the driver on another side, and that it's up to me to install it. If that memory is accessible from an installation, no one tells you that malicious software can't be copied to the same place. Another thing is that it's a non-writable memory, which I doubt, because I think that along with the new BIOS, it will allow that driver to be updated.
Many may see it as a help to people who don't know anything about PCs, but the fact that a company has that control over the hardware, and now over the software, doesn't give me much confidence.

Removing my 56kbps connections, I started with Wanadoo at 256kbps. There, when the duplications started, I had micro-cuts. That has been the worst incidence I have had so far. Then Jazztel, Ya.com, Pepephone, all of those with ADSL and finally Orange with FTTH. I have also never had administrative problems for example managing cancellations: always by phone and even by email.

But this Lowi thing has been crazy from the first moment.

Today at noon I called Orange and half an hour ago the technician left. I already have Internet.

Don't get discouraged, but it's probably time to read again the conditions of the contract you signed with the high, and then take a walk to the Telecommunications User Attention Office, to have clear your rights.

Thanks for the information. I will give it a review. If they just give them a good wake-up call, I would be satisfied although I think my joy is going to end in a well.

@cobito That's the same thing I've read on several sites. They have serious problems with 10nm, and since they've bet everything on that lithography, and it's not working, they have factories that can't keep up with 14nm. They thought they could handle 10nm without any problems.

@cobito said in [Short post] Linux lets you decide if you trust the CPU's random number generator:

The option itself is not a very relevant news, but the fact that the Linux development team no longer trusts the security of the processors.

Indeed, I agree that the crux is there, and also the solution to the Intel/AMD policy of "support it and don't fix it" in the face of the clamor of users, who are tired of so much nonsense.

I would put a statue of this guy (Torvalds) in a square with his name, seriously.

I have always been of the opinion that mining was one of the excuses to try to justify the overpriced graphics cards, which does not mean that I am not happy that it is no longer an excuse.

Regarding SSDs, personally I have not noticed the increase as much as with RAM, which can only be defined as pure speculation.

As for the best year to renew, if it is only the trinity (card, CPU and RAM), now is as good a time as in three months; if we add graphics, it is better to wait a couple of months after the first custom ones from the new generation of nVidia appear. That's how I see it. ?
