Remove the wifi security and try to connect to it. If it connects you already know that the problem is the security protocol. Maybe you do not have it configured correctly in the network settings of your laptop.

Some routers, (I have come across a case with a Telefónica router), despite having compatibility with WPS, does not work as it should. You can ask to have it disconnected from the technical service of your operator.

Packo, get any adsl as they all go wrong in the same way. As you will have to switch to a couple of Telefonica, if the pair fails, it will fail with anyone who has it rented

In the case of Ono, if you have any problems I can look into it for you (although I hate these cases) but bear in mind that Ono puts adsl in certain areas where there is no own cable AND there is ADSL central (it is not everywhere, ask before)

is there a phone number for ONO's sales people? I'm not going to wait until HR to call me to tell me what coverage I have. Do you know if you can contract the phone with them where they don't have their own coverage?

A TP-Link TL-WR1043ND would be a good option :sisi:

I have already replaced the cable I am currently using twice. I tried with a Cat. 5E and now I have another Cat.6, so I rule out a defect in the cable, because with all three I had the same problem.

First of all, thank you very much for your help. In the end, I did the following by following your advice.

1º a Reset.

2º I went into the settings and removed the password from the wifi, leaving it open.

3º it worked

4º I put a password back on it and it kept working.

Mysteries of nature but by doing that it got fixed. My brother already has a working router, let's see if it holds up this weekend and lasts, I hope so.

I imagine that you use the AllShare program from Samsung on both TV, PC and mobile, that's what I use with the TV and it works perfectly.

Haz una prueba con antena y sin antena con un programa tipo inssider. Puede estar saturando la señal.

Yo estuve con el mismo planeamiento que tu y si que funciona. Yo en casa antes tenia el router wifi con 2 cables, uno a la torre, otro a un PLC, ese PLC en la pared de la tele de donde salia un swich conceptronic y conectaba la tele (panasonic) y un HTPC que no tiene wifi. Y luego los portatiles por wifi, y todo sin ningun problema de configuración.

Dudo mucho que los ISPs estadounidenses puedan llegar a operar en un futuro cercano en Europa con la suficiente libertad como para ofrecer esas ofertas. Por otra parte, creo que es factible que en España se empiecen a hablar de esas velocidades a buenos precios (inlcuso mejores que los de Google) para finales de esta década en la mayor parte del país.

GMail funciona, y muy bien. No le pido mas a un cliente de correo… De hecho, desde que apareció GMail en escena, dejé de usar Thunderbird. Tengo una cuenta en Hotmail, alguna en Wanadoo y otra en Yahoo, pero en mi opinion GMail va bastante por delante. Salu2
