    I was wondering what the burns were that my wife and I had...
    Jokes aside, although I also asked myself when I installed it at the end of 12, I think 1W is not something to lose sleep over, it probably escapes more than that from the microwave oven.

    I'm sorry for taking so long to reply, but I was away from the forum for a while, sorry.
    You can put it in bridge mode, but it doesn't reset it when it feels like it.
    What I did was connect the ono router to a switch using the router as a simple adapter.
    Thanks for the help.

    On both sides of the bridge, which is what the point-to-point link is called, you need two routers to which you connect the A1 and A2 antennas, which will be responsible for distributing the Internet connection to the devices. In the following image, you can see all the equipment you need:

    Just in case you're interested, I have a few at home, mini PCIe, they are Intel 2230GB, they are Wifi N and BT. And if anyone else is interested, I have 4 (they were sent by mistake and they didn't come back for them…) ?

    @Magog:

    Of course it's not a technical issue, any type of line can be mounted on a DSLAM that even supports up to VDSL2. It's a commercial issue.
    But anyway, if you're going to switch to fiber, then much better.
    There is also another virtual switchboard (compatible with fiber) that is now called Movistar Fusion companies that has quite a lot of possibilities but I don't control the price issue, it will probably cost you more.

    Best regards.

    The Movistar operators are in the lurch. I asked two of them (on two different occasions) if there were similar services over fiber and they said no. Anyway, let's see how the DECTs work. Also, according to the calculations I've made, I'm going to save about 100€ a month, so it's not just a matter of having an infinitely better connection.

    We noticed it in that we have an ERP that at certain times gets stuck (it's not from sql server or from the machine itself, we've been monitoring that for a long time)

    And we also noticed that we have a couple of VOIP phones and we noticed that we are talking to someone and it gets cut off "x" times during the conversation, that's where our "fears" come from because we might have a bottleneck.

    When I said that the map was drawn for me, I meant "automatically", that is, starting from the reading of the network... the program made me a map... I wonder if it exists.

    Thanks

    it doesn't look like it's a socket for rj45, rather to put a gbic for fiber

    download the manual for the exact model and it will clarify it for you, the photo doesn't help much

    The button thing I suppose is due to the wear of the button and the internet connection seems to be a bad configuration of the network parameters on your PC.

    Now I have the router connected by cable to PC1, the one I use for work and I am already using PLC to connect the HTPC and the living room TV to watch streaming content from PC1. But PC1 is in another room and it is not easy (or aesthetic) to run a cable. The rest of the devices (laptops, smartphones, tablets, etc.) go by Wi-Fi.

    The problem is that, as you mention, the technician probably wants to put the router at the entrance door but, given the elongated distribution of the floor, the wifi signal gets very weak and does not become decent until you have reached the middle. I suppose it is due to the sum of the distance (about 20m) and all the walls it has to go through.

    So the problem is probably with the ram or the graphics card. To rule it out, run a memtest. Or, if that's not possible, try other memory modules or test the ones you already have individually.

    You nailed it Bm4n, I bought 100Mb thinking I had enough :wall:. I didn't remember that. Topic closed then. I don't have them in a power strip but in a double socket, it's an installation that's 10 years old. The line supports me with the minimum of two computers, monitor, tv, printer, router, phone, lamp... Thanks!

    @Bm4n:

    I also have all 5e… And for a home giga network I think it works perfectly.

    The point is not to obsess over it. If cat5e is enough to go to giga, don't complicate yourself, because crimping cat6 and onwards is more delicate and if it's not done well you won't reach those speeds (and the difference can be 1 mm more that you have untwisted a pair or a connector of poor quality or not tightened properly)

    PD: I also recommend cable that is 1 single copper wire "rigid". The cable that has many wires is soft and a piece of crap, basically ;D

    TRENDnet | Products | TEW-691GR | Wireless router gigabit N450

    Well, in the end I made a compulsive purchase at the MM because the Telefonica device was really annoying me, and I bought a modem-router. Now my ADSL works better with P2P downloads, and it also allows connection to a modem in case I add cable in the future, and the router's features are like those of the TRENDnet dual-band N 750, 4 gigabit ports, and a USB. The only downside is that it has internal antennas, but the truth is that the coverage it gives is very good.

    I bought it basically because I found it in a store where for the rest you already know that you pay a little more than if you order it separately, and the brand is good, but they charge you extra for the Cisco label as well. But anyway, I'm happy, it works perfectly.
